Does anyone know if there is a way to stop your phone number being revealed when sending a text? kinda like the 141 for landlines or withholding caller ID for mobile calls.

    Cheers

Shocked If you have a Nokia write a make a number say 666 then save it into phone book. Now it asks for name. Type your message there then send it as buisness card to the number you wanns send it to. Walla no ID just a message. I only know this works on Nokia may work on others. Hope thats what your looking for. Twisted Evil

If you want to send anonymous messages without a user id, try http://sms.jc-mobile.net, you can manipulate the sender id and replace a mobile number with any combination of alpha numeric charcters up to 11 characters so youcan even send the sms as "batman" or "lalala" or "George" whatever, however the recipient will not be able to reply to your message.

It MAY work for his nokia yet not all, because when you send a business card it will still show who its from and even if your able to hide your number, mobile networks are able to trace who you are very easily.
