My car is a manual. sorry in advance cos I'll probably not be able to help much but I get the judder alot now on the way to work aswell but not the fog lights flashing with the indicator. When it judders I just press down on the gas pedal quickly very hard lol. You may have already been to one but you should take your car to an electrical specialist, hopefully they will assess it thoroughly. I hope everything gets sorted for you. -

Hi Carpathia
Thanks for replying. They seem to have sorted the lights now, am about to find out because I'm heading for Reading. Just worried about slow moving traffic in Reading, if I get stuck in a jam, I won't be able to put my foot down - guess I could stick it in Parking mode! It's booked into the garage for Monday, I've had the Air flow meter valve changed already, along with the O2 sensor (I think). Just the EGR left....or the Idle whatshername. Or the Crank shaft.......

Hello Stubbsy1
I will check this out on Monday, I can't fit it myself, I'm dreadful with things that have to work after I've finished with them. The lights went on the car because I changed a light bulb, that's how bad I am. I iwll tell the garage to look at this, and the EGR sensor - does anyone else get a really funny sound from the left hand side of their engine when they start it up? It sounds like a peculiar squeaking, watery noise. I keep checking my water (
) because it used to vanish at a vast rate of knots, but (fingers crossed) it's OK now. So it's not that. -

Maybe it's this then. I've had the new air mass flow thingy put in, and although she has a bit more oomph, I still can't start her straight up in the morning, and there's still lots of juddering until she smooths out. I don't think I can afford to pay fro any more work. -

My daughter has a new september 2008 3 cylinder corsa
On Saturday it was involved in an accident where the car spun out of control for no apparent reason and demolished road signswith the driver's door.
This car has been back to the vauxhaul agent several times with a shudder caused, they say, by no. 2 cylinder misfire
She is a very experienced driver who has travelled the road of the accident hundreds of times
The accident was on a damp off ramp from a 70mph highway, slowing down to a roundabout.
I believe that the most likely main contributory cause of the accident was that when the car was slowing down using the engine, which is front wheel drive, no 2 cylinder misfired again. This probably caused the shudder that she felt just prior to the car losing control.
The effect of one cylinder not firing (the engine only has 3 cylinders) would be to greatly increase the resistance of the engine thus increasing the engine braking by a significant percentage.
As this braking is to the front, (no engine braking occurs on the rear wheels), the sudden increase in front wheel braking could affect the vehicle’s equilibrium.
That additional braking, together with the wet conditions (it had been frosty overnight), caused sudden retardation of the front wheels as the car went round the gentle right curve, and most likely could have caused the rear wheels to lose grip, and the accident resulted.
Any similar experiences/ Any comments will be very welcome -

Hmmmmm have been reading all of these comments and i'm having a similar (but subtley different) problem....
I've had my W reg 1.0 corsa for 5 years and never had any problems, For the last month or so (since the spell of really cold weather in early Jan) my yellow (electrical warning??) light has been displaying frequently on my dash board. Occasionally i will start my car and it will start fine, but the engine will shudder and sound like it has no power. 5 seconds later though its fine.
The light doesn't come on at higher speeds and doesn't come on when i drive for long distances. It also isn't associated with any loss of power whilst driving. It seems that the light mostly comes on when i have to use my clutch to reverse out of my steep drive or when i'm driving around town changing gears alot or stuck in slow moving traffic.
Has anyone got any thoughts on what this could be/how to repair it??
I have a second problem that i think is unconnected, but started at the same time....When i drive round corners with my wheels on full lock/near full lock. There is a creaking/banging sound coming from the wheels. I really don't know much about cars and am at a bit of a loss as to what i need to do!?
Thanks
