G60 strange symbol on screen

A strange symbol has appeared amongst the symbols on my screen that is not mentioned in the user's manual

It is a red circle containing a white exclamation mark.

I have deleted all messages and contents of media folders, so it is not a memory warning, and my phonebook is quite small.

It is halfway along the symbol bar.

Have any of you seen this before?
