HI,
i'm new here and not really into phones, i'm not a v technical person! I just wanted to know if n e 1 could help....?
I'm on pay as u go and have been with vodafone 4 about a year and for the past few months strange things have been happening on it. Like sometimes when i'm on the phone it'll make strange noises and sounds like someone might b e tapping into my phone or summit. Then last nite it says that i made a phonecall to 07712927927 which i didn't and when i rang it this morning to see who or what it was it just came up sounding like a fax, but it also sounded a bit like a modem.
N e 1 have n e ideas?
Am thinking of buyin a new phone cos its worrying me!
Cheers

I've just received a bill from O2 with charges to this number for over £20. I too rang it and got a sound like a fax. It's a way of accessing the web by WAP but O2 couldn't tell me how I could have inadvertently made calls lasting 41/2 hours to a number I wasn't even aware of before. They have credited me with £20 but since I lost all my free minutes I will be taking this up further. I'd be interested if anyone has any more info. -

Hi i too have had the same problem i just received my bill and it says I've rang that number for 4 and a half hours and my bill is £70 when it should of been £16 i rang o2 who at first said it was a number i was ringing which in fact i wasn't , then i rang them a second time and having researched it a little told them i knew the number was to access the web by wap but i have never once been on the internet with my phone and i am demanding a refund and i want the problem sorted asap! i am waiting for them to get back to me, my phone is a Sony ericsson k610i and i am a long term business customer of 02 so i am expecting some serious action to be taken,

HI again Amazing they have rang me back and agreed to shut off my access to the Internet so the same thing wont happen again, this is good for me but not for someone who would want the access. What are they playing at, they have also agreed to pay me back £50
I don't know if this is an o2 problem or the wap access isp problem who knows but they best sort it out or they are going to be paying out to a lot of angry customers!!! HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE -

I just had the same problem on my last bill, or at least thats when I noticed it... I called o2, with the info on here we managed to sort it out. they were very helpful and are refunding my minutes and have, fingers crossed, sorted the problem, which was to do with having a dial up setting for picture messages or something! -

I have too just looked at my O2 online bill, this number for 11 and a half hours costing £110!!! The lady at O2 was quite unhelfull, this is obviously a big problem as a google of this number throws up no end of problem reports, they are going to take three days to 'investigate' this apparently, they should know by the sounds of it, and cutting off my net connection is no answer. The problem is at there end as far as im concerned, they will have to sort this out. Not only that but this number appears several times on my statement, im not having my inclusive minutes taken up by this... not happy
