MP3 Players, advice please.

Any advice on buying basic MP3 players from you lot?

Buying one for my girlfriend for an Easter present, she's not that techy so it's gotta be idiotproof.

Got my eye on a Sony one, it's kinda funky, and it's pink!!!! Battery life about 70 hours I think.

well idiotproof eh, hope she doesn't know your password to the forums or she might not be your girlfriend for long mate!

Bit of a how long is a piece of string question, what is she gonna use it for, going to and from work? down the gym etc? makes a difference battery wise.

that little sony one looks nifty but I don't really know anything about it. Have you tried one out in the shops yet?

Hi,

Haven't had a good look at any in the shops yet.
She will want to jump around a bit with it, (gym etc).

I've always had good experiences with Sony stuff, and the round one looks nice. I think it comes out next week.

well Sony have a good reputation for audio equipment but I think they've missed the boat a bit really when it comes to mp3 players.

Have you thought about an ipod shuffle or the iriver or creative zen? Is budget an issue?

I've neard mixed reports about Sonys mp3 software, have you got one, what's your experiences of them? Personally I haven't tried one out yet and they certainly look ok but there are so many to choose from these days.

Held out in the end as the nice man in Dixons said there is another good Sony one coming out in a week or two.

Looks like a good one...more stuff here..
