Lyra RD1071A - Says its full but its NOT!

Ive used my Lyra since I got it a year ago, and have been so pleased with it. Today, i went to switch up the songs a bit. I removed all songs on there, and it still thinks its full. I turned it off, rebooted the computer (XP), and still says its at full storage when there are zero files on it. Contacted RCA and Circuit City via Email, though I doubt anything will be done. Any advice?

figured it out myself did a FAT reformat, then downloaded the firmware upgrade. wala!
