The best way to fix your problem is (hopefully you have a dvd drive/burner on your computer) is to download DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink and make a region free DVD. You'll be set then.

    Too late now I guess.

The best way is actually to make your DVD player region free, then it will play anything from anywhere first go.

Most can be done from the remote control, but some do need a simple file written to a re-writeable CD.

Just insert your player model into google with the words 'region hack' and it will direct you to a hacking (player recoding) information site.

DVD region coding is nothing to do with copyright protection, it is just a fiddle worked by the industry to control prices in consumer markets - making DVDs cost more in UK than, say US or Canada.
