that is right, a co2 airsoft gun can reach speeds well over 350 fps, especially if it does not have blowback.
the thing is, i only shoot outside. so a co2 is perfect for me. i don't mind the little shatered plastic bb's. besides, they have to hit something pretty hard a t a fairly close range to shatter. and you should always be careful before you shoot and know where it is going to ricochet to.
so co2 airsoft guns are just fine, but they require more care than either a spring or electric would.

I agree, you should consider getting a Co2 pistol because they are cheaper than Co2 Rifles in most cases. They are a little more effort but it will only take you a little more time to prepare clean etc. The good thing about Co2 is that you don't have to wait for any battery to charge, you can just go in your basement and get another canister. That is all I can really think of for now so good luck choosing a gun.

I will probly get laughed at for this but here goes... A good begginer full-auto air rifle for $100 is the Crosman Pulse R72. Great power, range, accuracy, and durability. The only Crosman gun that doesn't break. DO NOT get the Pulse R-74. Though more expensive, it is not that good. The Pulse R-72 is the shining jewel of the Crosman airsoft line... Scratch that, the ONLY jewel of the Crosman airsoft line.

I had the Crossman R74 a while ago and it broke in 4 minutes because the motor got jammed, then overheated and blew up. Definitely dont get the R74 but I'm not sure about the R72, I have never tried it.

I'm getting the Tokyo Marui AK47 for only about $100 more. It's not going to break like most of the cheap guns I have, I'm really tired of that. I'm also probobly going to get the IZH Drozd as well, it looks awesome.

If you are still thinking of indoor target shooting my advice would be get a:
Tokyo marui HGHU (High grade hop up) spring pistol (about $60)- any model yuo like
Tokyo marui non blowback gas pistol (about $70), which you need 134a gas for (this is NOT Co2)
- any model you like.
Both the spring and gas pistols will be shooting about 180 fps and will be nice and accurate for ranges up to about 15 yards. The non- blowback gas guns (i have the TM wilson and steyr) are great as you can fire as fast as you pull the trigger- but you do need the gas cans which are not cheap.
Also, always use good BBs, not the cheap ones as they can jam/ damage your gun.
hope that helped

I recommend Wolf Armouries for anything airsoft. Although some of their products are a little expensive, the deals and sales on this site make up for it.

But if you're looking to target shoot, then I'd say that you should go for an air or CO2 pistol as they're far more accurate and more powerful too.
Happy shooting.
