25 Apr 2002 3:09 PM I have a phone and lot of people using it without my permission, which keeps my bill up! I just want to know if there's a way or settings on nokia 3310 to deactivate or disable txt messaging and voice call temporarily so that other people can't call or send txt without my permission. thanks in advance!!! pls let me know if you have some ideas... sam

26 Apr 2002 1:52 PM You can disable calls, but you will need to talk to your network! you need the baring password! network often seem reluctant to hand this out though (in my experience) you can the select call baring, from the call settings menu in the settings menu and bar outgoing call, this can be turned on and off in about 10 secs!. As for txing, thats more complex, u can have it disabled but ... this means not having it permanantly! I would just erase the smsc when you aren't with your fone and simplyre-enter it when you get back! Any other q's e-mail me at junk@gsdt.co.uk
