Hi there. Having tried GHDs and 2 different types of T3 straighteners, I would recommend that you look for the T3 Tourmaline ones by Hairart. I know you posted a message asking which ones to buy on my GHD review - read my T3 review, and think about getting those. They do not blow up (unless you are one unfortunate T3 reviewer who's irons did explode, but the customer service for T3's are great!)
I'd recommend the Mark 2 versions over the original black ones - a lot of upgrades and they look nicer. Also, T3s come in 3 different sizes - one inch wide, which are the same width as standard GHDs, wide ones, which are the same size as the large GHDs, and then there are the mid-size version. These are 33mm wide, (1 3/8'') and they are perfect for almost any length hair, be it long or short, and you can still create the same curls and styles that you can with the standard size straighteners. Look at www.salonlines.co.uk for pics on them - to get the 2 year warranty that comes with them, you must buy your straighteners from a reputable source - i.e. NOT EBAY!!! I had problems with mine less than a month after I bought them, and as I bought them from a proper supplier and registered them, I got a new, better pair within a week - have a look at them!
Even though your hair is in good condition now, to keep it as such, and to help keep your hair straight for longer, try and buy a product to use whilst straightening. GHD Iron Oil is nice, but its around £12-14 a bottle. Just as good is a product called TP Infratreat by Proclere. Its £8 on salonlines but you might be able to find it at a local salon for about £6. It protects your hair, and gives it a slight hold and a shine that you wouldn't have otherwise.
If you want any more advice (I don't know a huge amount but did my research on straighteners!) post back and I'll try and help you some more. But look at the T3 reviews on here! They really are worth it!

I have found the Remington wet 2 straight straighteners wonderful! It is so easy to use and cuts out the time of drying and then having to straighten by combining the two!You can read more information and further reviews on them.

Can someone tell me if they have tried and tested the T3 Tourmaline Straighteners by Hairart against the Remington Wet 2 straight as I would love to purchase the T3 but I think they are a bit pricey and Remington a little cheaper?
