    hi hope someone can help;
    my partner and are getting married abroad, (RHODES) next year, and we need help wording the invitations. how do we make it clear without being too blunt that guests must pay their own way.

    This can be difficult, i would suggest creating your own invitation using an original wording which hints but is not too direct something linke below:

    Chris and I would be honoured if you would join us in celebrating our marriage in rhodes.

    The ceremony is to join our lives together but also to welcome you into our first joint family unit

    Chris and I would like to kindly ask you for you own travel and accodation details to be met however we do understand if your financial situation would not allow you to be able to join us on this occasion.

    TRY SOMETHING LIKE THAT HOPE THIS IS HELPFUL XX Laughing

    Hi Chris,

    My fiancé and I are being married in the Philippines which is her native country. What we decided to do was tell everybody in Australia about the wedding and find out who will be going. We will only send invitations to the people who have seriously expressed an interested in getting to our wedding. We will also have a celebration here in Australia a few months after the wedding so all my friends and family in Australia can attend that.

    I would suggest you put a note with the card saying you would love people to attend your wedding but you understand if they can not afford the high cost of international travel at this time. Something like that is a nice way to put it.

    I have made a blog about my wedding at http://www.weblogone.com/wedding if you want to read about it.

    All the best for you and your partner,

    Geoff

    Hi Candy4u

    Please can I get a copy of your catalogue? I'm interested in ordering my wedding stationery from you. Can you leave your details?

    Thanks, cenmlj
