    Hi AJP,

When I first got this model I tried about 5 different videos in it from as far back as "Where Eagles Dare" to "Minority Report", by playing each one for about a minute and then pressing pause and then continuing. My "personal" experience was that it did the above perfectly by going from one to the other (on playback) as if it was one film!

Where did you find this full user manual?

My problem is that I don't have an english manual and I'm looking for one. Can You or anyone help?

Hello, this is my first post. My LG DR4912 was purchased a couple of weeks ago from a local retailer for £149 and its been great except that the aspect ratio kept defaulting to 4:3 even though its set at 16:9 on the recorder and TV.

About one hour ago it totally stopped recognising any DVD regardless of format and whether blank or pre-recorded. When a DVD is placed inside it spins and checks for about 30 seconds, then claims the format is unknown and ejects the disk. Any ideas what could be causing this? I've tried with more than a dozen disks now of various types with no luck and run through the trouble shooting guide to no avail. I was planning on calling the shop tomorrow, but thought somebody here might be able to suggest something first.

    Thanks

    Ashley

I have a similar problem ... haviong burnt a DVD+R using Nero on my PC I played it without problem in my Targa DVD player...it was for a friend(and was solely of scanned negatives so no copyright or region problems) He has an LG DR4912 and this ejects the disc and displays 'invalid disc'. The LG DR4912 plays CD's recorded by Nero and plays pre recorded DVD's from newspapers etc.

Is it the way I am burning the disc? Confused
