I'm just starting into this sport but I cannot decide which rod/reel combo is the best for me. Any suggestions??? I don't want to have to sell a kidney to get a decent rod/reel. -

You should try to look for starter kits that come with fake worms, hooks, rod and reel, weights, and maybe a few bobbers. If you find you have a real knack at fishing then save up your money for a really nice rod and maybe some green line so its invisible underwater. Happy Fishing!
Also on really rainy days grab a hand sived shovel and a bucket and get you some worms and maggots. Think about stopping at a live bait store and get some minnow the day you are fishing. Hope you get this and good luck! -

it depends on whether your casting or boat fishing.
if in a boat you just need to drop it down the side so a multiplier reel is what you are looking for.
for casting the other sort of reel.
you can get good ones cheap nowdays so keep a look out
