I've tried just about everything out there - the Finally free system was rubbish - it didn't work at all. Total waste of time. I also spend a fair bit of money on a 'home laser' system from Centre Biotechnique Avance which didn't work either - they have a whole load of complaints against them for shoddy products and for not honouring their guarantees and refund policy. I ended up having to file a dispute on my credit card to get the money back.
I think if you're looking for permanent hair reduction seeing a professional at a salon is probably your best bet... I wish somebody did make a home system that worked!! I'd be first to buy! -

I was going to buy that FF thingy but from what you’ve said I wont. I have the rio laser and have some advice for any1 considering it.
-It is a single hair treatment laser, so it is not good for large areas.
-When I tried mine I didn’t get see any hair loss although I have noticed it is lighter and thinner.
-The system is not “suitable” for dark skin tones, which by the way, you don’t find out until you’ve opened the damn thing!
-However it is very safe so if anyone’s kids get hold of it they can’t hut themselves.
-Rio has a larger laser that targets 20 hairs at a time available; try the link below.
Hope this helps. X Le

From B,
I purchased goods from Body4Real 16 days ago and they are still not here. Customer services is poor and unreliable because I have made 3 calls and two emails and finally I recieved a email that acknowledges my query has come to their attention. It doesnt say when the goods will be here. -

Sorry this is slightly off topic but to answer the question - I got the money back eventually - MBNA tried to refuse my claim initially on the grounds of me having used the product (how do you know something doesnt work properly unless you have tested it out?!) but I just wrote back quoting Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act (covers UK cards for most transactions) and they refunded the amount pronto. They then pursued Centre Biotechnique Avance themselves so I don;t know what came of that. -

p.s. here's more info for anyone else in the UK in receipt of goods that don;t work or that have paid for something they don't receive. I think credit cards issued in other countries have some degree of protection also but don't know the specifics.
More info on credit card company liability for bad transactions -

A word of caution about laser hair removal - this treatment DOES NOT remove fair or white hair. I found this out after spending £400 on a course of treatment. -
