I have a problem with my above-mentioned machine - the programme timer display is stuck on 1 minute after finishing a cycle normally. I cannot seem do anything to reset this and have tried leaving the machine unplugged overnight.
I don't know if there is anything I can do or is it something that requires an engineer? I can still open/close the door but all the other buttons don't do anything other than flash "err". Any help appreciated. -

I have had this problem a couple of times with my zanussi washing machine. The l.e.d display only gets stuck on the spin cycle occasionally on the cotton 60 wash cycle e.g the machine starts the spin cycle on at 12 minutes when it should start at 10 minutes and the display stopped at 8 minutes and the machine kept spinning and wouldn't stop so i had to stop the machine and restart the spin, when this happened i stopped using the cotton 60 programme. Which programme(s) does it happen on??
Overall i think it might be an electrical fault and you should contact serviceforce to take a look at it. If the problem happens again on my machine i shall replace it with a bosch or miele machine. -

I have got near enough the same washing machine as you have (mine is an FJS1225W) and i've had the same problem with the time remaining display as you have, apart from mine stops occasionally on the spin cycle 8 mins before the cycle is complete and the machine doesn't stop spinning and this happens on the cotton 60 programme. does your washing machine still beep at the end?? Which programme(s) does the time remaining display stick?? Is this a common problem on all Zanussi washing machines?? It might be an electrical fault which you cannot fix yourself and therefore you should contact a serviceforce engineer to sort the problem out. If they can't sort the problem out send the machine back or scrap it and buy a bosch or miele machine. -

The problem is now fixed! I called the Zanussi service people and was told there was a red reset button at the back of the machine. It was a big hassle to get to the back as we've had it integrated into our kitchen. Anyway, got it out and guess what - no red button anywhere to be seen! At this point we thought, with nothing to lose, to have a look inside. All we did in the end was to take out the electrical plug that goes into the programmer right behind the led display. Then we put the mains back on and heard a clicking sound, then unplugged the mains put back the other plug and it was all reset. It now works perfectly. I noticed today at the end of the wash cycle that once the drum has stopped spinning the door releases, then the end of cycle beep sounds and then the counter goes from 1 minute to 0. So now I know not to open the door (even though it lets you) before it gets to 0!! -
