H Jan,
I have a zanussi / electrolux zx99/5 . the problem with it is that about 3 time a day all 3 warning lights just flashing and beeping and unit has to be turned off then on again to reset. Whist the lights are flashing it still works normally. It has been doing this for about 3 weeks now and one of the things I tried to resolve the problem was to turn off , leave for 24 hours then turn baack on - but didn't work.
Is this a problem I need to contact manufacturer direct with or is there a simple solution ?
thanks -

I have a Candy frost free fridge freezer. last night there was so much food in the fridge that the door didn't close properly. Don't know if that triggered the problem but now:
- the light in the fridge doesn't work
- the motor is clearly working (making a noise) but the fridge isn't cooling (don't yet know about the freeser part)
- however, the green light remain on.
Not sure where I've put the instruction manual!
Any suggestions about what do do will be gratefully received.

All is now ok. Turns out that it was just the bulb that had blown. -

I'd appreciate any help on my Bosch KGV3120GB fridge freezer that's over 10yrs old. As in previous posts on this model the temperature was slowly dropping and adjusting the temperature settings made little difference. Everything is now defrosting: the temperature guage is lit but there is an occassional clicking sound that I believe is the thermo regulator trying to kick in, the superfreeze button has no effect and there is none of the usual rattle an hum that the machine creates when it functions 'normally'. Unplugging/replugging/turning on & off makes no difference. Does anyone know what the cause of the problem might be & what I can do about it - and do you think that adjusting the wires as advised to others might work... or is it time to cart the old girl off?? All advice and comments will be gratefully received. -

How they work, or perhaps problems you might encounter, please let me know and I'll be pleased to help. Particularly the Siemens, Bosch, Neff and Constructa brands.
Just post your questions at this forum, or contact me via e-mail.
Jan
I hope Jan or someone can help.
I have a Bosch KGV2620GB/01 which seems to be showing the same problems as the 3120 model described throughout this forum. Both the freezer and fridge are much too warm but when switching power off then on the compressor starts up and runs as normal (for how long I do not yet know). I intend to modify the thermistor connections by the shorting out method.
Can anybody tell me the correct pin numbers to short out for this model

Would anybody be able to help with a problem with a Maytag SOV626GB fridge freezer?
Its only just over 12 months old and it has started to freeze up in the fridge even with the temp turned down to 2. This is the second time its happened, the first time it did it I thought it was because the water filter wanted changing as after I installed a new one it was okay. Now about 4 weeks later it started again this morning. The water filter froze so I took that out this morning and naively hoped it would be okay this evening but its not.
I know its still under warranty and I will call Maytag tomorrow but thought I'd ask here just in case its something I've done or not done.

I have a Bosch F/F model number KGU3102GB. It is no longer cooling in either the Fridge or the Freezer. Power is going to the unit - i.e. lights are on etc. The unit is about 8 or 9 years old. Question (1) Any sense for what the most likely issue will be (2) Any sense for what the part cost woudl be (3) Could a novice like me fix it (4) Any views on the lifespan of this F/F - am I better of buying a new one at this stage?
