Malia - Stefanos apartments

My mates and I have just booked to go to Crete in September. Can anyone tell us what Stefanos apartments are like and whats Malia like.

I stayed there about 4 years ago, it could have changed since then, but the apartments are as expected quite basic, and although there are plenty of them, pools are small and look like they are thrown in as an after thought. Malia itself is quite lively, and there are loads of places to eat and drink. Not far up the road is hersonisos, which had bungee jumping at the time.
I've been to Greece about 50 times (and lived there for a while) and Malia unfortunatly was my least favorite of places I've visited, although it still has the greek charm, it was more like ibiza than I'd have liked, and watch it when crossing the roads, they are lethal. I hope you enjoy yourself there, and don't take my critisism to heart, it's only my opinion.

Stefanos is not very good, room was titchy with one plug and 3 single beds pusehed together it was so small and hot we were just in each others way all the time the bathroom was tiny with crappy shower over the toilet practically!the towels or bedding didnt get changed at all, the upper floor roooms were better though. It was really good through the day the staff are great and its a good laugh, its right on the beach and at bottom of strip so its in a good place, a would never go back cos we all came home ill but a would go to the bar and pool through the day, its especially not good for lots of girls in a room together tryin t get ready to little hot and stressful!

hi, ive been to malia the last four years and have to say that everytime i go, i dont want to come home!! Stefanos apartments are basic (as are 95% if apartments in malia) and have been done up in the last 3 years!! the staff at the pool bar and also the Electra bar otherwise known as the Crazy Bar are fab!! I've got to know the bar staff and owner of the apartments and can honestly say that they are friendly and can count them as my friends away from home!! i always look forward to going back to see them and its good to know that as soon as i get there the owner and bar staff always greet you with a smile and a hug!! im just back from my hols there and cant wait to go back in september time again!!!

if you are lively and want to have a good time then Sefanos apartments and Electra (Crazy) Bar are the places to go!! id definately would recommend people to go!!!

Stefanos Apartments are bloody brillient!!!

Yes some of the rooms are quiet small but when your trying to fit 30000 people into one strip of bars and hotels they have to be!!
But remember if your in the room for more than 3 hours a day then may i recomend blackpool, i hear its nice this time of year

The pool bar crazy is brill!! The Staff are friendly and they have a laugh. Slippery pole comp every day, flowing beer, plenty on show (for the lads) and on a night one the best bars on the stop at your door step 'Electra'!! This is run by the hotel and the manager is well a nutter!! He's the star of the holiday. Start your night year, leave drunk and head off down the strip.

I'm going back next year it was that good.

Remember though its a twenties hotel and the reps will try to rip you off so you just have to learn to say no

Just come back after a 2weeks holiday in Malia stayed Stefanos. I will not be going back!
was put in a tiny room with no balcony and a view out of the window onto the corridor! you have to give 50euro deposit on arrival each!, 50euros a week for air con, safety deposit boxes are in reception what is open all the time! sheets & towels ment to get changed twice a week they got changed 2days before we came home!
You have to pay 30euros to bring someone back into the hotel, you are not allowed to make any noise when u come in! its a 2wentys hotel what do they expect!!
You have to pay to lay round the pool!
we had 1 dirty towel and got 40euros taken off our deposit at the end of the holiday! Pathetic!

Pool entertainment is good and is right on strip but thats about it!
