Hello everyone here a few recommends from Newcastle Wine Consulting Newcastle Wine Consulting
Cazel Viel Viognier, 2002, France 9.5 This is a regional classic! In my experience as a wine shop manager I was fortunate to buy this one in and it blew me away. In 6 weeks I shifted over a 1000 of these in a small town wine shop! Its refreshing, very refreshing with a great balance of acidity, dryness and fruit character. Smooth texture mixed in with dreamy apricot and vanilla yoghurt. Yum-yum! £6.99 (WR)
Sainsbury’s Vin de Pays D’oc, France 7.5 I love it when a ‘under £3’ wine is a good as this! Fresh, zesty, zippy with a little bit of everything. Not a brilliant finish but great for £3! Great value. £2.99 (sai)
Graham Beck Shiraz, 2001, South Africa 9 Mr. Beck, you have my appraisal. The finish to this wine had as many clicks as a camera round the neck of a jolly British tourist. By clicks I mean the amount of times it made you taste the wine, as it offered so much, thus making a clicking noise. Medium to full, aromas of bramble fruits and spice and a concentration of the spiciness and a Christmas pudding feel with a toasty oak finish. Remarkable. £7.99 (Jimmy, Sai)
Casillero del Diablo Cabernet Sauvignon, 2002, Chile 9 Another Concho y Toro classic, with a nose of spices, herbs, earthiness, oak, and an array of lovely soft tannins supporting a full bodied chocolate, blackcurrant jam palate with even more lingering tannins. A truly great affordable wine. £4.99 (most)
Many more reviews on site & we're always looking for recommenders
