Fallout 3 is set in 2277 in post nuclear Washington DC now known as the Capital Wasteland. Faced with mutants, giant insects, slavers, raiders and ghouls you set about finding your father. The game is the third major Fallout game by Bethesda Game Studios (creators of Oblivion) and is a combination of a first person shooter and horror survival game. With its dark touches of humour and Vault Tec's retro-futuristic 50's styling it has proved to be a best seller and favourite amongst our members. Prototype is a sandbox style game from Activision that gives that the gamer the freedom of Manhattan. Set in New York City, you are Alex Mercer and using your newly acquired shape shifting and super human abilities you set about to recover your memory and find out why you awoke from a morgue. With a virus infecting people, a military conspiracy to uncover and plenty of action this is game highly rated by members. You love the attack forms and the free running feats that Alex performs. With graphics that are "absolutely stunning" and "good gameplay", 79% of reviewers would recommend giving Prototype 4.3 out of 5.
Another sandbox style game is Saints Row 2, published by THQ. The follow up game to Saints Row features the 3rd Street Saints from the original game and is a combination of driving and third person shooter games. The open environment in which you can play allows you to fully explore and choose how to play the game; you can drive a number of vehicles, swim, climb, run or walk. 100% of members that have played the game recommend it giving Saints Row 2 an overall rating of 4.6 out of 5 and stating that although similar in game play and style to GTA the graphics are "exceptional" and the game "cool".
Breaking away from the traditional World War II setting, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is set in modern times and multiple locations including, Russia, The Middle East, Azerbaijan and the Ukraine. The game is seen from the perspectives of a British SAS commando and an American Marine with new weapons and technology to choose from. Players still fight alongside a group of AI teammates and take on the role of several characters during single player campaigns. Gamers can also play online in multiplayer mode to complete unique strategies.

GTA 4 or Grand Theft Auto IV, is the sixth game in Rockstar North's Grand Theft series. The DLC, The Lost and the Damned, was seen as a welcome addition to the game giving gamers the ability to go online and play as part of the gang, The Lost or the police who are hunting them down as well as a new line of missions to complete. Rated 3.9 out of 5 and recommended by 71% of reviewers who liked the graphics and the online gaming option.
