The at the Hotel Kastil in Croatia beds didn't have bugs in them. The restaurant had no salmonella, and the pool was clean.
It only cost us £100 per night, regardless of the fact we could have stayed in a top London hotel at the weekend for this price, we thought "hey we can't speak the language and the wine is good, so it must be a bargain".
Don't ever book a hotel over the net. Go there, walk in and enjoy 50% off the already inflated price. Furthermore, receive the added benefit of knowing you're not staying in a dog kennel before you part with your hard earned funny money.

All hotel rooms overlook the pedestrianised quay, the sea and offshore island. The town is small, compact and busy, but in a pleasant relaxing way. The Golden Horn beach is some fifteen very pleasant minutes walk away, but well worth it. Maybe a bit too quiet for some, but we found it ideal ideal for chilling out.
