Good Points: It does the job. Supplied with Nero software to make it easy to use. That's all you really need in a DVD writer drive.
Bad Points: No volume control or earphone socket on the front, but who uses them anyway?
General comments: On the recommendation of a friend, I bought the Pioneer DVR-110D DVD drive as a replacement for a Lite-On SOHW 1693S, which wasn't able to write error-free to all blank media it was supposed to work with. It slotted into the case, XP recognized it, and Nero drives it just fine.
No matter what media I ask it to read or write, it works properly without any fuss or drama!
What more could you ask of a DVD writer drive?
Everyone I've asked about Pioneer DVD drives is happy with them.
