have several Tanaka machines in my inventory and most are or have been broken or repaired. Hedge trimmers, gearbox broken. Chainsaw auto oilers do not work and have replaced a few times, same with the gearbox problem on gas trimmer. No more Tanaka for me !

Light and holds edge well ideal for leylandi hedges. Other attachments can be fitted eg pole chainsaw, but is quiet heavy.

They sound beautiful and the weight of them makes my arm calves taut and I feel like a man. However, back to the Tanakas, not bad at all. I use them for trimming my delicate buxos.

The blades are made of some superb steel and stay sharp for ever. I have never had any problems at all with the carburation. One down side is that it runs on 25:1 and so on still days you can end up breathing in a bit a 2-stroke smoke. Its light and the backbone of the blade is not as strong as some. My friend broke the back of his and replacement cos ...
