Written on: 14/01/2009

The Siemens C45 is my favourite phone so far, unfortunatelly I've lost it, but definitely considering buying one again, even second hand.
Phone does not have many features (compared to newer phones), it simply works, and is very easy to use. It is a mobile phone, not a media player, camera, GPS or anything. My favourite feature that I've never seen at any other brand is the automatic switch off function at a preset time of the day.
I've just got a newer phone with bluetooth, camera, MP3 player… Read Full Review

I got my phone back in the summer of 2002 and the battery life is only now starting to play up. Considering that it's been on all the time, except for when was battery is flat, and I've made countless calls and texts on it, the phones done grand! It's a nice size, especialy compaired to Nokia's. The only main problems I've got with it are that the buttons can be a bit unresponsive when texting quickly, but I do stress that's only when you're texting at speed. The other gripe is when you're… Read Full Review

I think the C45 is a excellent phone, I bought my phone in the year 2002 and I can say that I would never look at another mobile phone again. My next phone I will be getting is the A55! The Siemens C45 is small, stylish, colourfull, and easy to use. I like to use the internet on the phone because I get to see the latest information on my handset, this is brill. I think that the receiption is clear and there are a variety of functions on this phone, but the only bad point about the C45 is… Read Full Review

Written on: 07/03/2003 by Robbo. (1 review written)

My needs are simple. I just want to make and receive calls, send the odd text and change the ring-tones from time to time. The Siemens C45 does it all for me. Plenty of ringtones available and if the cover does get banged around then I can get a replacement cover for £5. The birthday and diary facilities are an excellent feature. The WAP works well and the T9 text facility works really well.
All in all a great little phone and a little bit different from your "run of the mill"… Read Full Review

I loved this phone when i first got it. With its fun look and changeable covers i felt this was the phone for me. This phone is great for WAP and games (only 3 but good). It also has a fun layout of the menu which you can change to big or small. It also has fun picture messages to send and also sound can be attached although this is not so good if no-one you know has the same phone! The separate phone book button was confusing at first as am used to finding it in the menu but once in the… Read Full Review

I wasn't sure whether Siemens was the right choice until I found this website. Your reviews convinced me that I was on the right track and now that I am a proud owner of the C45 let me come back to thank you and sing its praises. The C45 is brilliant. Date and time where you can see it. User profiles for those changing environmental conditions. Telephone numbers organised into groups. Individual melodies assigned to groups to enable you to distinguish. Summed up in two words... exceeds… Read Full Review

The Siemens c45 is a great mobile phone. It's light and easy to carry. It's the best phone i've had. It's good for texting and the games are superb. The changeable covers are a good change from previous models. The only bad thing about this mobile is it does not have a ringtone composer so you cannot get free ringtones very easily. You can download tones for the C45, and its not that the composer doesn't work, it's just that there's not one (one bad point). As for the text messaging, its very easy to use, and the predictive text is MUCH easier than nokia or any other phone I've used. Overall if you want a phone that 'does exactly what it says on the tin' i.e. calls and texts then I think the C45 is a great phone, basic, but good. Probably more of a teen or kids phone than anything though.

Bought myself a C45 last week and am VERY happy with it - but have the same problem. In this part of the world there's no place to obtain free ringtones/screensavers/logos/picture messages for teh C45. Also rather disappointed that there's no composer, but if one can have the same amount of stuff available all over the world, that would hardly be a problem! Anyone have ideas for me where to search? Thanks

Ringtones aren't a problem. There are several sites which give you the ringtones for download or the code for the melody composer. The problem is only with the ClipIT Covers, Logos, Screensavers, and other such add-in accessories. I have only just bought a Siemens C45 for Rs. 6,500 (thats about $130)and have yet to put a Sim Card in it. I had a horrible time searching for this Phone itself in the market, so you can guess how difficult it will be to obtain the other stuff. But the Phone rocks!!

I agree with all the comments on the phone. At time of purchase I found the phone new and interesting but it didn't take long for me to discover that it was difficult to purchase cheap and varied covers for the phone. I also started to feel that the phone began to feel a little dated and, well, dull. The games are good, accesibility to internet is good however it lacks key characteristics such as a calculator!
Overall, decent but dated!

I agree with the comments. It is really tough to find ringtones and logos for the C45. Even trying to get a new clipit cover is almost impossible here. the dealers are useless so we're left with scrounging around the grey market for accessories.
<br>But the phone itself is great, really user friendly and much better than the 3330 range of phones.

The way that I get logos is:
<br>
<br>I bought a Siemens Data Cable for about £15 / $22US* / €23*
<br>then I downloaded a program called S35Explorer which can be purchased from www.s35expl.de for £14* / $20 / €23 (a shareware version is available).
<br>
<br>Unfortunately, this is exactly what you'd call free but you can download (or design) as many logos / ringtones as you want and it doesn't cost any more.
<br>
<br>In order to get ringtones you have to use a midi file. . .

To get free ringtones and logos you need to go to the siemens website. (www.my-siemens.com). Then you can download ringtones and logos.Just click on the relevant links and select the ringtone/logo you want to download. You fill in your mobile number and details and then a code is sent to your phone. Then enter this code in the computer. It really is quite easy! It You can pay buy calling a number or you can register. Best thing is, if you register you get 2 tones/logos free!
