Good Points: My experience was similar but with a Citroen C5 Exclusive 2.0 litre HDi. Car excellent except for same problem of engine cutting out.
General comments: An excellent motor apart from the problem detailed above and creating extremely dangerous and I consider highly dangerous situations!
Engine lost revs twice at about 80 mph on German Autobahn. Fortunately I was able to get to hard shoulder with engine just ticking over - still had steering and brakes. Stopped car, switched off and then back on and everything as it should be. Then try getting back in to a very fast moving stream of traffic!
Car at dealers on a number of occasions but they fitted the EGR valve but happened again twice on English motorway. I got rid of the car to the dealer who 'could find no fault'. Their problem now.
