Good Points: Established resort, well run, well maintained, friendly staff and excellent level of service in restaurants. Excellent local reef
Bad Points: Some sea view rooms have limited sea view but are close to disco and bar.
General comments: Our first visit to Egypt. The Club Fanara resort complex is one of many along the coast. Fairly remote from everything but hotel shuttle bus runs several trips each day into Naama Bay. There are enough facilities within the resort to keep you occupied. Three restaurants, three bars, own beach, health club, several pools with the main one being heated. The grounds are very well cared for and everything is spick and span. Hotel maintenance is good with small repairs being attended to very quickly. I would recommend the cliff top restaurant open every day for lunch. Its always a buffet but plenty of choice and an excellent setting looking out over the bay. Food is not gourmet but you will not go hungry. If you are all inclusive the red wine (Egyptian) is reasonable, the white not so clever. All local spririts substitute for the real thing. The gin was OK and my wife managed on the amber rum that passed for Bacardi. I imagine the heat can get a bit oppressive at certain times in the year but February was great. Comfortable and warm.
