would buy again, and im a fussy cow. Good qualtity leather and stucture still going strong after 7 years, gave it to a friend cos we wanted a newer design. also my grandmother who is obese still has hers after 7 years and its tip top. dont believe everything you read guys

I bought the Mimi Premier leather 3 and 2 seater suite in October 2007 from Land Of Leather retail park Oldham, I also purchased what I thought was the 5 year guarantee for wear and tear, (and was informed today it was actually for stains.)
The 3 seater has started to fall apart and after 3 weeks I finally got to speak to a Manager who informed me as it was over 12months, (by 1 day) and the fact the 5 year cover is only for accidental stains, there is nothing they can do except, if, I pay a fee ...

My wife and I bought a 3 and 2 sofa from Land of Leather at their leeds store on 20th june 2006 and was told we would have to wait 8 weeks. 14 weeks later we were allowed to collect it. Infact I was told it was at tamworth then newcastle when I believe it was at the leeds warehouse near our home since the day we bought it. First of all our sofa was 2 months late and every time we phoned the store to see what was happening they would fob us off with a different excuse evrytime. The sofa arrived eventually and everything was fine then our first problem was one of the recliners was stuck up and would not close so we phoned the store for someone to come and fix it and they said it would take 48 hours. Took out Land of Leather's seemingly worthless GOLD level insurance, sold on a covered for everything basis!
18 months later the stitching came apart on the two seater sofa.
Filled in insurance forms after a grilling over the telephone. Sent them requested photos, with forms of defect/damage. 3 weeks later they sent out someone to speak to me again in person and take more photos. (It seems A4 size photos sent by myself were not good enough).

Purchased recliner settee about two years ago. It is starting to show apparent signs of peeling and poor stitch work. Land of Leather have said they will not repair it. I am now in touch with insurance Ombudsman.

Ordered a brown leather corner suite it was delivered late and it was 2 left hand pieces not a left corner and right piece. (was stuck with this for 3 weeks.) left messages every day for manager to ring (i am still waiting) they turned up 2 weeks later with the back of a suite wrong again. was advised on the sat nothing they could do as the warehouse wasnt open until Monday, got a call on the monday to say they will deliver the right piece of unit on the following Saturday this will be one month ...

If I would have known how long I had to wait for my goods to be delivered I would not have bought them from there, I felt the service I got (if you can call it that) was disgusting. I could not get through to head office whenever I tried and when I left a message no one contacted me back. I will never go there again and I will make sure none of my friends and family do either.

On boxing day I order a suite for £2,000 plus insurance of £250. We paid our deposit with the balance to be paid when the suite arrived at the depot. This was going to take approximately 14 weeks.

I do not recommend anything from Land of Leather. I feel I was miss sold the insurance policies telling you that you are covered for every eventuality then when something went wrong they didn't want to know. The comment from the Insurance Company I had was "we cant be held responsible for quality of products sold or mis selling of policies that is the responsibility of Lane of Leather" that says it all doesnt it. ...

I've just been let down completely by Land Of Leather, on the day of delivery the driver phoned us and told us that our sofa had been damaged and was not fit for use, we had already sold our sofa, redecorated and reconfigured the lounge for it to fit. I contacted land of leather and they have stopped selling our suite and will not now be supplying us this sofa and they sell nothing of any resemblance. No sorries just tough.

I purchased a 3 2 sofa deal from Land of Leather Belfast on 30th Dec. 07. I had spent the whole Sunday afternoon wandering around various Belfast furniture shops with my mother while she found something she wanted. Eventually we returned back to Land of Leather as my mother had eventually made up her mind and went back to one of the first sofas she seen - it was in stock and her other choice had a delivery time of 12-14 weeks. There was a lack of interest from sales personnel at Land of Leather, and no flexibility in being able to source other layouts of corner suites ie left or right handed, and I received no communication of what I might be looking for or what price or when.

The service I received from Land of Leather was rubbish. I have still not received the product. There was a delivery charge of £69 plus an extra charge of £80 if the sofa did not fit in the doorway and had to be dismantled. Many calls and visits were made to the store, but we still got not further, as staff were not in, or were too busy to talk. I ordered a 3 piece sofa last sept 06 on my wife's 50th birthday and after 2 defective replacement of same type changed to another one which also 2 replacements later this year by end of October 07 finally decided to have the money back! It was finally settled end of November 07 after chasing it up ..
The whole saga was an experience as 4 sofa's and 5 managers + staff changes and a numerous trips to store and calls on regular basis i never want to see this store ever.
