Good Points: Excellent food Value for money Welcoming staff
Bad Points: Not enough people know about this place!
General comments: Even though many people had informed us that Turkey was relatively cheap to eat out, my friend and I found a lot of the restaurants in Icmeler to be more expensive than we had hoped (very tight budget) until we discovered Luigi's.
This pleasant little restaurant is tucked away down a little road, a few metres on from the Gondol apartments near the sea front. We had been wandering around the resort trying to find somewhere to eat (and secretly hoping they might just have a mcdonald's somewhere) when we stumbled upon Luigi's and thought what the heck we're starving.
As it turns out, the food was absolutely beautiful! I chose the steak with creamy mushroom sauce which I can only describe as divine! They had a fantastic selection of dishes and I only wish I could've tried them all. Following our meal, the owner came along and chatted with us and offered us turkish brandy (which we duly accepted) which arrived in a mammoth glass and was brilliant. He did this every time we went back!
We tended to have 2 courses and a couple of cokes, and it was around £8 each which we considered bargainous especially given the quality of the food and the service. The restaurant itself is really pretty, they mainly use the garden outside as it is too hot to eat inside, which is surrounded by trees and plants and generally extremely pleasant.
Luigi's was possibly one of my favourite things about my holiday in Icmeler, we went there again on our last night and signed his visitors book and he even sent us a postcard at Christmas!
I would definitely recommend that anyone visiting Icmeler should definitely stop at Luigi's.
