General comments: All of these comments have a similar theme. Went oversea for 4 weeks with my family booked it all myself on line and decided to use the Flight Centre at Knox for the last leg our journey. WE paid them to book a hotel in Fiji, transfers from airport etc. When we arrived no transfer was available (had to catch taxi), the hotel room wasn't the one we wanted. I rang them and was I should of read the small print!

We will never use the Flight Centre for our flight arrangements again. They offered to beat the price by $10 for a flight I found on my own, but when the time came that I unfortunately had to cancel our trip they charged us a $500 fee to cancel the tickets and tried telling us that we agreed to pay this cancellation fee. Had I booked directly with the airline itself I would have only been responsible for a $99 per ticket cancellation fee. Very unorganized, they forgot to charge me for the tic ...

Flight Centre Knox is a disgrace. After stuffing up our booking 3 times they blamed me for their mistakes. Total disgrace. I wish I had read the reviews before I booked my holiday.

I am surprised that these have got bad reviews here. The service I got was well above the other operators I had phoned and the price was fantastic. My operator was always on hand to help and sorted visitor visa's for Australia as my working visa did not come through in time for finalising booking at the price quoted. The whole experience has been an absolute disaster. I would not use this company to book anything. The manager I spoke to is possibly the rudest most obnoxious individual I have ever had to deal with. They over- charged us and then refused to give us a price breakdown of which we are still fighting for as the 'customer service' department is not responding to our letters. For anyone planning on purchasing their next holiday, or even just flights, through Flight Centre here in Australia, a few short minutes reading this may very well save you several hundred of your hard earned dollars. Just think of what several hundred dollars could be used towards on that next holiday that you have saved so long and hard for. Didn't inform me that the flight had changed! While in China I have to discover that Flightcentre have not book anything, even though we checked 3 time before the trip. It is actually cheaper to book your own flights and when something go wrong you know that you have not paid someone else who cannot do the job!

Really wouldn't use them again. In the end I did as much research as if I had booked it myself. I have very little idea of how the price worked out, as there was no transparency of charging. They had little local knowledge. They on occasion claimed that hotels weren't available to seemingly pressure us into using certain hotels (they seem to have an association with Protea?). When I checked on the internet, rooms were available, and often cheaper.

Went on The Flight Centre website and saw a price for Toronto - New York for $368. I printed it out and walked into a Flight Centre in downtown Toronto. The guy booked me my ticket for $368 right away. Fine. Two days later checked a price online for Toronto - Ft. Lauderdale for $427. Took a print out and walked in to the same guy, who charged me $540. I thought the price must have changed overnight so I pay the amount and check the price at home, price still at $427! Had been looking for a holiday to Thailand for ages. Tried STA and Trailfinders, who are on the same street but Flight Centre came up trumps. They were the cheapest by miles and really knew their stuff. The guys in there seemed very friendly and my girlfriend and I came out really impressed. Would recommend.

The staff at The Flight Centre don't know what they are talking about, and they just seem to be desperate to get you to book with them. I was quoted different costs every time I called, and they keep going away to answer the phone all the time. Expensive. Terrible service.
