Good Points: Excellent and friendly crew, good tours with excellent guide, good people on board.
Bad Points: Boat a little tatty, price of some of optional excursions.
General comments: Myself and 14 year old son have just come back from a week on the Karim Princess and overall we had a fantastic week on board. The boat was a little tatty in dining room and cabins were quite small but everything was kept spotless by the housekeeping crew. The food was good and plenty of it, with as much variety as possible. The bar and kitchen staff were great and even though we were two of the youngest on the boat we made a lot of friends over the week as everyone mixed in well. Ahmed the tour guide was very knowledgeable on everything from Egyptian history to English football.
The tours included were very good although some of the optional ones were quite expensive. If you are confident enough to go it alone it can be a quarter of the cost. We did as much as we could over there as we might not get the chance again. I would definitely recommend a Nile Cruise to anyone as you get to see so much more of Egypt and the way of life - make sure you go on as many excursions as possible while there. The only down side for me was being hassled all the time to buy things when you get off , also being pestered for tips all the time becomes a bit tiresome in the end.
But all in all everyone on board agreed that they had a brilliant week and even though the karim princess could do with some new carpets and a lick of paint here and there it had been a great experience we will never forget.
