Stayed Melasti Beach resort in Legian for 12 nights DEC2010. Our 3rd trip to Bali but 1st time at this resort. Rooms were nice and clean. Sheets changed daily - we had trouble with our drains blocking once but hey, it is Bali and we've had this at other hotels also. Very good size room fitting 2 adults and 2 children nicely. i read with interest all these reviews, did i stay in a melasti beach in a different dimension.
this hotel does not merit any stars never mind three.
We booked an upgrade to get a better room and we got a larger room but the decor was really bad, stained ceilings, broken fixures and fittings, the bathroom was terrible with stained bath and shower curtains, floor and patched up seals and grouting, not to mention holes in the insect screens. Lovely aspect at the Legian Melasti Beach Resort, friendly staff, great value, swim up bar excellent. The beach is fantastic and the hotel is really nice. We are booking there again this year, and I cant stress enough how lovely the gardens and staff are. (read more)

I have visited the Legian Melasti Beach Hotel about 12 times, you are treated like one of their family.
The management and staff go out of their way to help you with any of your problems. When I go to Bali on holidays, if I cannot get into the Melasti Hotel then I don't go on holiday.
The wife and I are in our mid-seventies so I can recommend the hotel for elderly people. It is also a paradise for families with young children.
3 swimming pools, just metres from the beach.

Have stayed at Melasti 5 years running. Have got to know all the staff, which we adore. So friendly. For a 3star hotel I would certainly recommend to anyone. Can't wait for august as we will be there again for 3 weeks. (read more)

The staff at the Melasti Beach Resort in Bali were extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms serviced daily to an excellent standard. The Spa is to die for - an absolute must. Staff very friendly and professional. There are a number of different types of massages e.g. reflexology, full body treatments and facials etc. I tried them all. Melasti Beach Resort an absolutely great place to stay. Kids loved it and there are enough pools to lose them for a while. Has the most gracious staff I have ever encountered and have recommended all friends back in Australia to stay there. Security at both ends of the hotel and doorman at your beck and call. The staff couldn't do enough for us and always smiling. We felt very safe here. The hotel is central to shopping, food, bars and safe money changers. Although food at the hotel was fine. (read more)
