Good Points: A well designed compact camera that certainly is shockproof, water proof and cold proof. I have dropped it, used it under water and when skiing and it has performed well. It is easy to use, light and slim. A camera for the outdoor person.
Bad Points: Low light stability and picture quality could be better.
General comments: The Olympus MJU 720SW is a camera for the outdoor person who wants reasonable photos and is not too bothered about quality. It is for those who are rough and clumsy, as it is forgiving. If they drop it, it bounces, If it falls into water, it still works. It does what it says on the package - not for the Litchfield,s of this world

I am very unhappy with the Olympus Mju 720SW digital camera! The picture quality was way below what I expected. In some places it is advertised as having image stabilization. I assumed that it would be similar to what is offered in some Minolta cameras, but all it does is raise the ISO to permit steadier shots in dim light. This higher ISO produces unacceptable noise in the photos.
My 3 year old Cannon Elph blows it away.
