    Hey guys - just a follow up to the review below.

    My friend finally got his computer.. 2 weeks later than promised.. and boy oh boy was he promised stuff that never really came about.

    Customer Support.
    Not so good. Emails never seem to get a reply. When you do contact someone., yes, they're friendly.. but about as helpful as an orange. And each new person you speak to has a different answer to what is happening.

    Product.
    The courier droppe dht epc off at concierge.. did not even bother to come up to the flat to check if anyone was home. My friend eventually called Mesh and shat them out from a dizzy height.. only to be informed the pc had been confirmed delivered. Pretty comical really.

    Everything looked fabulous. Box undamaged.. case itself shiny and new.. packaging, paperwork, included software etc received.. but the million pound question.. Did it work when switched on??? Yes ... and ... No! It turned on.. but that was about it.. nothing showed up on the monitor.

    After a call to India to speak to a tech lady [yes - India] ... the rote response of 'Please can you pull out the graphics card and replace ... as well as the RAM' was pretty much all the help we could get out of them.

    We eventually plugged in an old graphics card to see if the obvious was .. well ... the obvious.. and indeed everything worked just dandy! So after a weekend of toil.. and a kick-ass machine with a lowly 9400GT card powering the graphics.

    Mesh Computer's response to all this monday? We will send DHL to pick up the part.. and fix and/or replace within 5 days. Quite shocking really considering the damn thing didn't work out the box! a simple pick and swap would have sufficed.

    Will i get a pc from them? Probably.. hey - i have used them before and been happy with them. Could just be that the card shortage caused such a back log of shipments that the rushed jobs didn't go down too well.

    Either way - just wanted to update you all and let you know what happened.

    There are always too many bad reviews - never enough good reviews - about websites offering products & services. Thought i'd give my 2 pence worth.

    I ordered a base unit through Mesh Computers in 2006 - around £900 - received it on time with a few upgraded parts i never actually ordered. In both cases it was for the better IE bigger HDD and (much) better sound card :)

    PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT buy from this company.They are rogue traders.I have reported them to Trading Standards and luckily for me my bank offer a charge back facility on my debit card.They have a very well built web site which is designed to make you feel secure.Beyond that they are absolubtely useless.     This is the second PC I have ordered from Mesh for my personal use (I am a Network Manager and am responsible for over 600 computers). DHL screwed up the Saturday delivery (not Mesh's fault) but Mesh's response times were quite slow to my email queries - luckily I resolved the matter myself with DHL, who were brilliant.

    Computer wasn't supplied with the correct amount of RAM
    This showed up when we first turned it on but when we told MESH Computers they said that the RAM was really correct but that it was a problem with Vista which made it show up as only half the RAM
    In fact there is only half the RAM in the computer than we paid for (which we discovered when they asked us to open it up as the computer was very noisy) but MESH are refusing a) to believe us or b) to refund us

    An absolutely awful computer company. I ordered a computer from MESH with the promise of delivery within 15 working days. 20 working days later and no sign, after 3 emails asking where it was with zero response I called them and was told that they were waiting for parts to be delivered. Fair enough, I waited another week and emailed them again. No response. Second call told me that they had already sent it out, it was going to be delivered the next day. Wonderful!     Horrendous business who don't give a damn about their customers. They build computers with good equipment at very competitive prices, but offer truly awful customer service.

    My machine arrived 6 weeks after ordering, the delivery box was old and sealed with cheap tape. The machine looked like it had been kicked, dropped, whatever, because there were deep dents and parts were missing/loose.

    My son had given me his old Mesh computer, I'm told it is a Athalon 3000 or some such thing which was nearly 2 and a half years old.
    2 months into using it it suddenly stopped working and I was left trying to find out what went wrong. I didn't want to tell my son, so using a friends computer I looked up mesh's website.
    After sending a few messages back they gave me the details to arrange for the computer to go back to them as they told be it was still under gaurentee.

    I have had an older MESH computer which worked fine. The new one is a totally different story.
    If you buy a computer from MESH and it works well done, if like me you get one that does not look out the after sales is disappointing.

    I was disappointed with the level of customer service that Mesh gave me. Telephone calls did not prove helpful to me, I did not receive a reply to emails and the staff appeared to finish the live chat when I asked about delivery on a product.When asking to speak to someone in a senior position I was told that noone was available until the next day, while I did not receive a reply to emails regarding delivery and a seemingly stock answer was sent stating 'your order will be sent out as soon as it ...

    The computer delivered was not as described and an inferior system to the one advertised. They have confirmed this and suggest it is taken up with Microsoft? If you wish to purchase a system with a good after sales service - go elsewhere - in my experience one of the worst companies ever to deal with.

    I received a very poor service from Mesh Computers, who are impossible to contact. I am sick and tired of hanging on the 0870 number, and I have spent a fortune on phone calls. The service from the call centre in India is very bad, and the call centre staff are often surly and unhelpful. Also very difficult to understand the accents.

    Overall, I am thoroughly disappointed with MESH Computers. If you want to get hold of anyone at Customer Services you end up on a merry-go-round of being tran ...

    I think they are getting a bad deal on this site - I wandered across it after looking for a possible hard drive upgrade on my system, and I feel that someone should say something positive.

    I've had my Mesh for 6 months now, and it's not missed a beat. I have only had to use Mesh's aftersales once. And although it took me a while to get through, when I did, my problem was dealt with. I've since upgraded to Vista, and I have to say it works like a charm!     I've had two of their computers in the last 5 years... The 5 year old one being significantly more reliable than my newer model. They've both been vaguely modified versions of the packages that Mesh provides on their website. Now, like I said - my older PC is more reliable in terms of the number of times it's been sent back... it's never been sent back; whereas my newer PC has several times.     A few months ago I was in the market for a laptop computer around the £6-700 mark and after searching through magazines like Computer Shopper and reading several reviews and forums, I found MESH Computers and their website.     When my MESH computer stopped working after two weeks, it is impossible to get any help. You have to wait ages on a 0870 number to talk to someone. Then when you ask for a refund, it takes a week to send out a red label, then 2 weeks for them to test the computer before they give you a decision. All this time, they have your money and you are without a computer! Would never buy a Mesh computer again!

    Don't buy from MESH Computers as you will find if you need any kind of support it's hard work folks.
