I love my Pearl ELX Cobalt's black to purple look and the tones it produces are excellent.

I own this kit the Pearl ELX Cobalt and it is amazing!! Love the black hardware, easy to set up and take down. the snare is a little to much tone when recording, needs damper. Had many many comments on how good they sound live and well you can;t beat the looks!

This is a great kit,and is meant for rock and metal drummers,i have the: 'snre, rck tom1,rck tom2,rck tom3,rck tom4,flr tom' setup, and it looks and sounds great! a must buy for around '£550- '£600,but for the 'metal' set-up (my set-up) around £750 - £900

The Pearl ELX Cobalt has a nice look and the snare is pretty good. Its hard to get the same colour scheme if u want to expand the kit but overall I like this kit.

I have only just got my Pearl EXL Cobalt kit with the extra tom and the fills that I made up on it sound so good with the snare. It also looks like a metal kit.
Overall a brilliant kit.

Over all a very nice kit that will suit any working drummer on the club scene, however if you use it for recording, your sound engineer will ask you to use a different snare due to the over tones or request that you dampen it until there is no life left in it.

The Pearl ELX Cobalt is a fantastic kit. I bought mine from the local drum store in Peterborough and was more than impressed with the sound quality and styling. The cobalt blue colour also means that you have that extra "wow" factor on stage. It just looks so nice! Its a limited 20th anniversary addition, with only a few made. The chances are that it could become a collectors item in the near future. The live sound doesn't vary that much on stage, with a constant performance wherever I hav ...
