Bad Points: I know there has to be something, but none off the top of my head.

General comments: Outstanding Car. I have an 08 with 17,000 miles and runs like a bear. Great ride, handling, style, color metalic Red, room inside and a trunk big enough to put 6 bodies in it. Also at 4000+ I get great fuel mileage. Mostly over 30mpg.
Will buy another one and I reccomend it to everyone. My toy is a 2009 Mustang GTCS for when I need to get bumped around.

I have a 1995 Ford Taurus automatic 3.2 with 146,000 miles on it. I got mine beat up and beat down. But even with all the problems I had it still was faster and more potent that just about anything I've ever driven. The Yamaha 3.2 is quite possibly the best engine ever made. I've taken everything from eclipses, to souped up civics to Lexus 400's. City driving is fairly normal in general, but when you get on the freeway.....It's a wrap. Best car I ever had.
Pound for pound its the best combinatio ...

I'd buy another one if they got better gas milage and they still made them. Everything about my car is great, it's a 98 with 42,400 miles on it, I've had it 10 years. I live in Ohio and have never been stuck in the snow, it has a lot of get up and go.

I have had 3 Ford Taurus SHO's so far and still own 2 of them. a 89, 93, and a 99 they are the best cars I've ever owned, the best part about them is that they are the sleepers... Take care of yours and they will last..
I will have an SHO for as long a I can.

I have had my '94 SHO since 1996. This is the best car I have ever owned. I have thought about other, newer cars, but I have yet to find another one that is as good at everything this one is, for as little money as this one costs. And of course, it is always fun to raise the hood and show it off to others.

If you own a compact car and get behind the wheel of an SHO Taurus, step lightly on the gas pedal, or you will freak out when you feel the power! I used to own a Mitsubishi Mirage and the fist time I stepped on the gas, what a rush! The key is maintenance - take care of your SHO and it will love you right back!

I found my 1992 Ford Taurus SHO with a little over 100,000 miles on it last year. I got this car fantastically cheap! It has all the interior goodies original to the car. The JBL sound system is fantastic! Love the sunroof. The five speed with the clutch has shifted flawlessly since I purchased the car! Everything works. No rust anywhere. It has plenty of power and can run with traffic with no problems. Had to get a radar detector so I could get out on the highway and go!
    Ford should have made ...

The best point? My '95 Ford Taurus SHO is white with black piping, a black moon roof and a black partial bra. Even now, some drivers ahead of me slow down, mistaking it for a pursuit car. Well, more importantly, it's super comfortable for my build with a great power seat and lots of leg room. More space than a BMW of the same class and as easy to handle. The coachwork is excellent too; I live in Ontario where there's lots of snow and ice and, of course, road salt. But my SHO has no rust.

I've had my 95 Ford Taurus SHO since it was a year old. It had a broken motor mount and clutch (think the previous owner liked to abuse it) and it still beat a souped up Camaro and a Trans Am at the track in the 1/4 mile! Mine is a daily driver and even used for work. I'm a 59-year old female realtor and the men clients especially just love the car and give me a lot of respect. I'm frequently challenged at traffic lights by young kids in their imports and old men in their muscle cars. When ...

I got mad electrical problems with my Ford Taurus SHO. I've replaced the ecu computer the coil pack plugs wires and starter and started cylinoid. It turns over but I'm not getting fire to the coil pack. Someone said maybe the cam shaft sensor or crank shaft sensor. I don't even know where they are!!! Some one help.

When the Ford Taurus SHO was first claimed as Americas best sedan in 81 they were right. It is a family car with balls, and I'm very impressed with its unique handling and high rpm. The speed is unlike any other stock car for being so heavy and big, and it gets right up there with no problem. The only thing I don't like about the car, is how everything you buy for it is so expensive.

I have a 1995 Ford Taurus SHO and I don't agree with the statment about it won't smoke a late modle Gt or Z28. I have left them literly sitting on the line just looking. This car has an unbelivealbe amount of power, they have been made to have 300bhp. on the V6 models.

The Ford Taurus SHO Sedan has a very fast take off and it handles pretty good considering the fact that it is a heavy 4-door sedan. It has a very smooth ride and you can push the RPM's over 5,000 at 116,000 miles. If the car needs replacement parts it is very expensive so be careful and take care of it. Sadly, not many people know about the SHO but after they see it and ride in it, I think that they just fall in love with the car and I haven't met anyone yet who hasn't liked the car.

I own one of 280 Mocha on Mocha 1991 SHO +. I love the car to death. The motor is awesome, but the trans and the clutch leave a lot to be desired. Awesome cars for the money though, and if you get in a local SHO club (www.shoforum.com has a list of most of the major ones), there's a lot of knowlagable people out there that are totally willing to help out keeping these rare Tauri on the road.

I have a 1990 Ford Taurus SHO, with 236,000miles. The oil seals are finally gone, its going to cost me $2600. Not sure what to do. The paint is still ok. The interior was the one with half leather and half cloth. I agree this car is still fast. Even with so many miles it still can beat most cars. You should see peoples faces. hehehe!!!

I own a '94 Ford Taurus SHO (auto), and its one of the fastest cars i've driven. I wish I would have got the manual but hey. It only has 88k miles on it and runs beautifully. Well after I put a new crankshaft sensor and ignition sensor in it. Now its faster than hell. It kills most other cars around where I live in the 1/4. I love it. Under the hood its pretty much all stock except for the air intake, but I plan to change that soon. I also have it straight piped and canned, with 19" AT Italio ri ...

I have to agree with all the V6 drivers. The 96 V8 Ford Taurus SHO was truly a waste of time and money, you only got 15 more horsepower, and the V6 does better in the 1/4 mile so what was the point. Not to mention the defective cams. Lastly what good is all that power with an automatic tranny. What a joke.

All together I think that a Ford Taurus SHO, any year, is the best. I am a huge Ford fan, and I might pick a SHO over a Mustang unless the Mustang was something out of the ordinary. The SHO is not a common car you see everywhere and being a Taurus, it's a sleeper. If you want to be unnoticed by the police yet still have the speed, get a SHO.

*NOTE: My Ratings are in comparison to other cars in the SHOs class, such as the newer GTPs, Maximas, Altimas, etc..*

I've own a '91 and now own a '89 SHO. Both were 5spd manual transmissions. I've experienced numerous problems with the MTX that Ford decided to stick with. On the other hand, the trans doesn't do too bad considering the amount of power it's being fed.

They're really addictive as such a sleeper car should be! My list of cars that weren't expecting me including anything from ...
