Good Points: No good points. Useless. Endless problems with the ISP Legend Communications / Demon Internet / Thus PLC for broadband, for email, for hosting. The world's worst Internet Service Provider in my opinion.
Bad Points: Business Serve, Legend Communications, and Demon Internet (Thus PLC) were useless. I do not recommend using them! If you are a current client I recommend changing to another provider as they brought my business to a standstill! Problems persisted for weeks, with no resolution and no information, while I was losing business. Nobody seemed to care. Technical problems were endless. There were always problems under Business Serve. When they became Legend the problems got much worse. Now they are Demon and it's just hopeless. When I phone up I got through to somebody with no technical knowledge and no access to the systems, so they couldn't tell me anything. They don't even have a direct line of communication with the people who actually do the technical work, so nobody knows what is going on!
General comments: We have had endless problems and nobody seems to care. I have written letters to the highest levels and received no response.
I do not recommend using Legend Communications / Demon Internet / Thus PLC for your ISP, for broadband, for email, for hosting, or for anything else if you want to stay in business.

When they were DomainnamesGB, they were good. Since the change to Legend it has been disasterous, and if possible, has now got even worse since becomming Demon/Thus. I've now had enough. Time to move and do not recommend legend.co.uk

I pay a lot of money every year to legend to host my site and it seems to be down every week for a few days so how can these people be hosting my site? I want a rebate for loss of trade during downtime! Not a chance so I will not be renewing next year!

I am rapidly losing the will to live!
I can only echo the sentiments listed here already....when they were Business Serve there were very few problems, support wasn't a problem and everything ticked over nicely.
They then became Legend, things started going downhill, then Thus took over......even worse.....now I am trying to find out why, yet again, I can't access my company emails or control panel and keep getting directed to a page headed by Demon????
Their help desk are worse than useless, ...

This company hosted my website and were supposed to forward emails. When they insisted I "migrated" to Demon, things got even worse for me - I was not happy with their web mail - help line did not help I felt and email support have not yet replied it seems. I do not recommend legend.co.uk

This ISP is incompetent beyond my personal belief. The sad fact is that the original Legend Internet was once a very good small local (Bradford based) ISP offering good services and helpful technical support. After several takeovers and reorganisations the company now seems to be worse for me, staff appear to be unable to answer even the most basic of inquiries relating to frequent technical problems, billing information etc.

I have not been able to access my email or control panel for months as far as I am concerned despite many emails, phone calls and letters.
One day my website went offline came back with no pictures and my control panel password has been changed. My email no longer works. So when I do forget password guess what they emailed me, a new password which I cannot access!
After hours of struggling to get any response from them I get a user name and password that does not work as far as I am concerned. ...

Absolutely do not recommend Legend Communications due to the experience I had with their customer services and web hosting service. It is the most unhelpful service provider I have so far used. I do not recommend this internet provider.

Its a shame really as it used to be a little company in Newcastle who were very helpful, friendly as far as I am concerned. How long have you got... Hotline is expensive for me. In my opinion technical support were unhelpful, who took ages I think to GRASP the problem I had. Head office were the same. So slow in fact I got my SOFTWARE SUPPLIERS in the states to actually go into my site and sort out the problem. THEY DID THIS IN LESS THAN 60 mins AFTER MY EMAIL. Used to be good a couple of years ago. But in my experience Legend Communications is hopeless now.Email is not even worth it as far as I am concerned, support team in my opinion have not been helpful either.
I do not recommend Legend.co.uk, we will be leaving for a different internet provider soon.

Legend are hosting my mail and website and today decided for no apparent reason to do away with my mail and remove my website. First line support tried to tell me it was an ISP issue? Hard to believe when you use webmail and can access from anywhere. They are now trying to tell me my domain does not exist as far as I am concerned? Since in the hands of Demon/Thus they are not worth the money for me pesonally. I had a Legend email only account, the norm was for this to be down at least once a week in my experience. This time its been down for two weeks, bounce back emails suggest its been deleted. "Technical" and I use that term very loosely quite clearly don't care or have a clue in my personal opinion... I do not recommend www.legend.co.uk.

I kept an old mailbox open with them, as I had it for years and a lot of people knew it. It was never the most reliable thing in the world, but it has only gotten worse with time as far as I am concerned.
Nowadays I count myself lucky if I can access it at all.
I can only assume the only part of this company that works properly is the billing department therefore I do not recommend www.legend.co.uk.

I do not recommend Legend Communications, and I will not be using them after this year 08/09. I have paid my account for a years hosting but my website and emails service do not work for over 10 days now. I have called them over a dozen times and no one at their offices seems to be able to help. You are given other numbers to contact but when phone and wait ages for someone to answer I find myself back at square one.

I originally signed up to domainnamesgb who were superb, they got bought by legend as far as I am aware but thats when the trouble started in my opinion. I keep getting a letter from the credit company saying I owe the renewal fee? I have tried to cancel this account on so many occasions but to no avail. In my experience they have had mail problems for as long as I can remember, now they are forcing users to migrate to a demon mail server, when you do this you find that you have only one email address (even though I have paid for 10) and no controls in the control panel. I have been unhappy with their Service - since take over of domainnamesgb - customer service are pleasant enough and obviously are just as frustrated with the organisation - I haven't been able to send mail via the mailgate server for months - The guy was really helpful and advised me to set up sending via bt internet server.Comes to something when they have to do that!!

How can they still be in business? I'm glad I've found this site so I can add my comments of disgust. I was a satisfied DomainnamesGB.com customer and since Legend took over it has been disaster after disaster. An unreliable server, absolutely hopeless customer service.
