    The main reasons for booking were the all inclusive insurance and reasonable price. In fact you have to pay for a full tank of fuel on top (40 Euros), which is OK if you are going to do 300+ miles, but to/from airport plus a little local holiday driving was probably 25 Euros extra profit to them. We drove from airport to our destination then noticed next day that a tyre was flat, on checking all the other tyres were very low pressure. As the spare was only a temp tyre we had to trek back to the airport on our 2nd day to change cars. The staff member was very helpful and changed the car with no quibble. Both cars were old, dented and had not been cleaned inside. Next time I would rather pay a bit more for decent car.

    I booked with Ecomomy Car Hire after comparing a variety of rental sites for Ireland. They seemed competative and the free extra driver, and inclusive collision damage insurance was included in their price. Our vehicle was booked through Budget Ireland. Pick up at Dublin Airport was a disaster, as the CSR was incredably rude and did not accept my voucher as a prepaid, the 2nd driver or the liablity coverage. We took the car anyhow..     I have used Economy Car Hire on a number of occasions in Faro, Portugal and having found them return every time. I have always had a suitable car. The collection process was always easy and their all-inclusive price was just that. No one asked us to take out extra insurance or pay any deposits. Even out of regular desk hours at the airport there was always someone waiting for us. No doubt much of our satisfaction was due to the local suppliers but full marks to ECH for finding them.

    We recently did book through Economy car hire for collection at Palma airport in Majorca, the main attraction being there was no excess and the price overall seemed reasonable but not too cheap. Economy are of course just a broker and seems to use two main rental companies in Majorca, we opted for Auriga Crown because they were based in the airport terminal and cars collected from the car park opposite.     Excellent service from economy car hire. Booked car on Monday for collection at Burgas airport on Thursday. Collected car from Budget Rentals at the airport with a minimum of fuss. Car collected at my hotel in Sunny Beach with no extra charge. No problems and would use them again no problem

    I booked a car through Economy Car Hire in Malta, which although it sounds as a car hire company, is just a broker. In Malta we were booked with Aquarius Car Rental, who gave a us nice new car. Helpful at the airport and they also showed us the way to the hotel. Would recomend Economy cause of the No Excess Policy. Rented last year in Faro and paid more for excess waiver then i paid for the car.

    Economy Car Hire had the longest queue at Faro airport. Our car lock was damaged by a thief and although I had paid their top up insurance the Air Auto rep (their local supplier) demanded that we pay 300 euros excess on returning to the airport. He said we could claim this back from Economy Car Hire when we returned to the UK. Then - guess what - they said locks are not covered on their advertised 'no excess' top up insurance. I'm still arguying with them!! Cheap but NOT cheerful.

    Excellent friendly service provided in Zadar, Croatia. Brand new car provided. Would recommend. Excellent & efficient customer service as well. Bad points, none.

    The service on pick up, at Porto airport, and return, at Faro airport, were quick, efficient, and hassle - free; the car, a Yaris, was no more than 2 years old and was clean and in good condition. There were no additional charges in Portugal ( I have only just got back so haven't yet received my credit card statement, so cant be absolutely sure about this!). The rental company Economy used for this booking was Guerin.

    I booked a car for two weeks in Palma. They used Solcar as their local rep.
    1) I booked full insurance, but found I had to pay extra to insure the tyres and window-screen. Further, I had to pay for a tank of petrol before I could take the car, adding £100 to the cost of the insurance.

    The car was booked with a third agent through Economy Car Hire. On arrival at Malaga Airport, nobody was there to meet us in the arrival's hall as detailed on the booking information.

    After some phone calls, we eventually were told to go upstairs and wait outside departures.

    A courtesy bus too us to the third party depot. We then had a 45 minute wait as they did not have our vehicle and wanted to give us a smaller car (that our luggage would not fit in) which we would need to return ourselves ...

    Good point, Cheap. Car we were presented with was a Really old green fiat Panda. It was dirty , scruffy and much small grade of economy car we had booked. The car hire company being used was not an international outfit but a local firm.

    Car was upgraded for us, it was fairly new and all tyres etc were in very good condition.

    It was quick and easy collecting the car, the staff were all very helpful.Would use next time.

    Our car developed a fault and I thought we were dealt with in a very shabby way. We had to deal with the mechanic who took the car away and we then had to get back to the office an hour away from where we were staying under our own steam. No alternative but to get a taxi. They then were unable to reimburse the cost of the taxi fare.

    Overall I felt Economy Car Hire was cheap and you get what you pay for.

    Economy Car Hire found us a great deal with Rent Auto which we collected from within Faro Airport. There was no queue and collection and drop off was very quick. Staff both in England and Portugal were very helpful, friendly and courteous. Price was all inclusive so there was no deposit or excess. Rent auto were flexible. The whole experience was trouble free and I would definitely recommend both companies. Will use again.

    Overall happy. Will be using again this year probably. The car I hired was a bit tatty but to be fair to Auriga Crown(the car rental company) they made notes of what I had pointed out and there was no hassle on return. The staff are a little bit miserable but it is a bit of a thankless job.

    The car which was delivered by Econmomy Car Hire was unacceptable. It was dirty, covered in scratches, had spilled coca cola in the side bins, ash in the ash tray, etc. Over and above this the car was an old Opel Astra with over 150,000km's on the clock, the model which was phased out towards the end of 2005.     You cannot beat Economy Car Hire price and you are insured fully comp with no excess and most car hire companies charge you extra for, with Economy Car it is in the price you see. Also there prices do not seem to go sky high just because of the peak season, where as the others do.

    Delighted with this car hire service. Was the shortest queue at the airport, spoke English, very helpful, returned the car early with attendant waiting to pick up the keys, checked over the car with a thumbs up. No problems at all even though the car was grubby with 2 kids in the back for 10 days. Thankyou.
