Good Points: Most comfortable guitar in the world! Conforms to the shape of your mid-section perfectly. Not too heavy, and excellent craftmanship! Smooth and slim, fast-playing neck.

Bad Points: Only a single set of volume and tone knobs that work both pickups. Why was the extra set of knobs left off of this model, but added to the other versions of the Tornado? Two atomic humbucker pickups are way too hot, making this guitar most suited for heavy, hard rock style of playing. Played clean, it's best suited for jazz-style music.

General comments: Fender Tornado Pewter - Overall, you are either going to love or hate this guitar. I've found long-time Strat and Tele players don't like it, but younger, more open-minded players pretty much love it. It is sort of a variation on the Jazzmaster design, but with different electronics. Some have said the 24-inch Rosewood neck feels a lot like a Les Paul. The Highway 1 version is pretty limited with just one tone and volume knob for the two humbuckers. For my own guitar, I had a guitar tech swap a push-pull mechanism on the tone knob so that I can switch between single-coil and double (humbucker) pickups. This has greatly added to the versatility of this guitar.
