Good Points: + All your favourite characters and a few more. + Awesome Graphics & Framerate. + Excellent Music & Sound effects. + Lasting appeal. + World Tour mode, build your own character!
Bad Points: - Special moves/Supers difficult to pull off using the PSP's D-Pad
General comments: Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max, is a perfect game for the PSP - you can pick up for 5 minutes and have a quick bash, or play for a couple of hours on a long train journey!
The first thing you'll notice when playing this game is the fantastic graphics and smoothness of the brilliant 2D animation, running at a constant 60 Frames Per Second, an excellent port of the arcade version. The next thing you'll notice is the excellent music and all the memorable sound effects, best sampled through the PSP's headphones.
This game has a whole bunch of extra modes, including the usual Arcade/Training/Survival modes to name just a few.
However, it does have 1 mode that is definitely worth a look - World Tour Mode. From here you can pick your favourite Street Fighter and enter them into fights all around the world and gain levels up through the more enemies you defeat. Every time you gain a level you can spend points on different attributes of your charracter, increasing their damage, defense and so forth. You can also spend these points on learning new special moves, all this together means you can make a your very own tailored character that is customized to your paticular play style.
Overall I think this game is an excellent buy, it can be picked up very cheaply now for around £20. Highly recommended.

When I first got my hands on Super Street Fighter 2 for the Mega Drive, I was on it every day untill we got a PSone! The sheer brilliance of the sometimes simplicity (i.e 2D) makes this a game you do not want to put down! Every session on it you learn and master new moves and thrive to become better each day.
There are lots of options, ranging from the old school side to new game modes. Those of you who have played every version of Street fighter under the sun will be familiar with all the char ...
