Good Points: Cats seem to like it!
Bad Points: Unsure about the quality.
General comments: My cat use to be fed on an expensive brand of biscuits along with the occasional odd home cooked meal. However a couple of years ago he started having problems with his teeth. This was nothing to do with the food he was on, but down to some problems he'd had when younger that had reoccurred. He ended up having to have most of his teeth out so hard food was no longer an option.
Because of this I gave Whiskers a go and my cat seemed to love it. I think he actually liked the meat in gravy or jelly rather than the supermeat, which he sometimes wouldn't finish. That might have just been down to the smaller chucks being easier for him to manage though.
On Friday afternoons on my way back from work, I'd often treat myself to an M&S meal, so I'd pick the cat up some of their own brand cat food as a treat. Now, having seen this food, I could notice a big difference in quality! The M&S food I gave him looked good enough for humans! However, my cat didn't seem to mind the difference at all and would happily go back to Whiskers after trying the M&S stuff. He's healthy with a nice glossy coat so it must be doing the job!

i got my cat from the R.S.P.C.A four months ago, and through trail and error have discovered that the cat will only eat whiskas super meat, unfortunately she will eat only the chicken version, i was just wondering if Whiskas do the packs of six in just the chicken, as it is a waste of money for me to buy a multi pack only to have to give away four of the tins.- Read aleda's review (110 words)

My cat enjoys the soft food, and the small bits. But most of all there is a lot of liquid; maybe a bit too much and less food than there used to be in the Whiskas Supermeat Cat Food.- Read paddy07's review (84 words)

I had old Whiskas Supermeat Cat Food in a bowl and new Whiskas still in the bag. The cats ripped open the new bag and left the food in their bowls untouched. Cats won't eat anything else.- Read lovemycats's review (71 words)

We have tried every cat food in this same category - Friskies, Tescos own brand, etc. - Whiskas is the only one that our cats will eat no matter what. They particularly like the supermeat probably because it seems to have less jelly/gravy filler. While we know they'd probably be better off with one of the special IAMS or Hill's-type products, our budget, at the moment, won't stretch to it, and certainly our vet has never said it's a problem. And I suppose the main thing is that the cats are ...- Read Mindy's review (109 words and 1 comment)
