General comments: It seems my review about OTB Holidays will contradict many of the recent reviews on this forum.
I recently took my family (2 adults, 1 child and an infant) to the Algarve at short notice. The holiday was booked less than a week prior to leaving.
I initially contacted OTB by telephone and admittedly having waited for 15 minutes on hold I got through to a sales adviser. Having been to the Algarve previously I had an idea of where I wanted to stay and more importantly where I didn't.
I provided the sales adviser with details of the flight I wished to travel on and details of the accommodation. The sales adviser called me back 20 minutes later to advise me there were there were rooms available at the hotel but no seats available on my requested flight. However I was also advised if I contacted the airline direct I wold be able to reserve the seats myself. Not wanting to book the accommodation without a flight the sales adviser stayed on the line whilst I successfully booked the seats online (saving money in the process).
I then booked the hotel and private transfers through OTB. Afterwards I checked this website and following the amount of negative comments I contacted OTB by e-mail slightly concerned about my trip.
OTB responded within the 48 hours and in addition to this answered a minor query I had.
I travelled a few days later and the hotel and private transfers were spot on.
I honestly can't fault the service I received although I appear to be in the minority.

We've just booked a holiday to Rhodes on the OTBeach website and fell into the trap of costs. Once payment is made they then told us it will be an extra £30 per person for luggage, then once you get final confirmation we found out transfers aren't included either. Work on an extra £100 of hidden extras if you're going away as a couple. Unfortunately they've got this very well hidden in the small print.

We have our holiday booked with OTB. We want to stay another week. So I rang, and rang, and rang, emailed 13 times so far rang 10 times had the phone cut off on me 4 times my wife emailed 4 times, rang 4 times and the phone has cut off on her 3 times. We are still waiting for a quote for the second week. This has to be the worst company ever. You can only deal with this company by email if you want to change a booking. We haven't even been on holiday yet how bad can it get!?

Booked what I thought was a cheap holiday to Madrid with OT Beach. Turned into a nightmare. Only AFTER I had paid the full balance was I told that I would need to pay to take suitcases on holiday. They said the price was £60 for 2 people.

I found OTB through google and was please with the prices.
i booked a 8 night break to Egypt through the website and went through all the steps you usually take the make a booking online.
We received almost instant automated e-mail response advising that we had made a provisional booking and that it was subject to change prior to receipt of the final booking summary.

We booked at two bedroom apartment in Teneriffe with On The Beach. Disaster from start to finish. Only three seats booked on flight for four people. Our 10 yr old was recorded as an infant which meant he would have to sit on our knee. This took about an hour to sort out. Would not recommend booking through On The Beach Holidays as we have had a very bad experience booking our flights with them this year. You get to the last screen and it asks you if you want to take hold baggage and then does not allow you to select the number of hold bags you wish to take. Our little girl has ended up with a 20 kg luggage allowance that she really does not need! I just booked a hotel through OTB. Got there and it was a disgrace in my opinion, had to book a different hotel on my credit card because I could not get in touch with OTB (Have the 30 minute on hold phone bill though) and now have the bill which I can not afford an no one from on OTB will help me (I CAN ONLY GET THROUGH TO THE SALES DEPT IT SEEMS). Heart broke!

I booked my holiday first time online 6th July. After total price and all credit card details been taken, they added charges to check-in luggage and food on board. There was no option to go back. I e-mailed them straight away not to process cc but they are so clever they blocked the amount from my cc on same day within hours (Sunday). Normally they do it next day. Booked online with On The Beach Holidays.. then a page popped up telling us they will get back to us in 48 hours, this is after we gave them all our debit card details. Leaving us unable to book anywhere else or know whether it's booked with them.
Got e-mail 4 days later telling me that the online booking was corrupt and nothing booked. Prices of the flights have now increased by £40.00 each x 3.
We found the service awful... I'd stay clear if I was you!!

This is the first time I have used on the beach booked a holiday for me and my husband and 2 kids to Rhodes 4 * all inclusive for 14 nights in june £1500 bargain! In the end I booked through Sunmaster.co.uk - Self Catering, 1 Week 2 adults, 1 Child and an Infant £782 (not including transfers). In the end cheaper than OTBeach .... the quote online was £696 then on the telephone it increased to £1140
Would not recommend OTBeach

Managed to speak to admin on the phone and they were impatient and rude. My wife's flights were booked as Mr instead of Mrs and they wanted £80 to change it - that's higher charges than a bank!

Excellent website, good prices, friendly staff. Nice looking website I thought, loads of hotels available at cheap prices, found a flight to match so I booked it! A nice lady called and told me there was a problem with my card so I sort of flipped out a bit, she was very good throughout and I was very impressed by their service all in all, holiday went perfectly to plan.I would definitely book with www.otbeach.com again in the future!

We booked a holiday to Ibiza on the 8.07.08 to leave on the 18.07.08. I pre-selected a flight ADVERTISED at £187pp the total cost of the holiday (2 adults, 1 child) came to £1,303. I sent them an Email and they replied but with someonelse's booking details, I then sent the Email back telling them this was not mine, I am still waiting for them to Email me back.
I would not book with them again as you have to add extra for luggage which adds more cost to the holiday.

OTbeach, on the beach, nothing on their website is actually available to book at the price shown, they just seemed to want my call so they could sell me into something more expensive or available. I did a booking with this company to Turkey, not only was there no transfer which I was told was included, but the wrong return flight times were given, meaning had to book another flight. Not very good.
