Good Points: A great sequel to Len Barnhart's fast-paced, gore covered zombie saga. A must read for all zombie horror fans!

Bad Points: Again, due to a small pressing, this novel can prove to be quite expensive to purchase.

General comments: Len Barnhart Reign Of The Dead: Apocalypse End - Synopsis: "In Reign of the Dead the Apocalypse had just begun and Mankind is an endangered species! The dead walk and the living search for refuge from the waking nightmare. Strap on your weapons and reinforce your means of travel! Apocalypse End: Reign of the Dead is the final installment of a two-part story. The world now belongs to the rotting corpses of a lost civilization. Bearing little resemblance to their lost humanity, they hunt for warm-blooded prey to satisfy an overpowering primal urge to consume living flesh. As Jim Workman continues his quest for other survivors, he is again confronted with the realization that there is more to fear than death. He encounters a Militia led by a ruthless radical. They are a group of survivalists, prepared for anything, and their numbers are great. They are the last vestiges of a corrupt anti-establishment that stands in the way of a new beginning for mankind. No stone is left unturned, and no question is left unanswered in Apocalypse End: Reign of the Dead!" This is the second instalment of Len Barnhart's "Reign of the Dead" series of books. The next book in the series entitled "Reign Of The Dead: Outbreak" is due for release in the Autumn of 2006. The novel follows on from where the first book finished, continuing with the same group of survivors, as once again their lives dangle by a thread. Like in the first book, Len quickly gets straight into the action, delivering plenty more blood soaked pages of zombie mayhem. Len leans more towards the developing characterization of the survivors in this novel, submerging the reader into the mental strain that all of the characters are under. Many arguments take place within the tale, bringing about interesting sub-plots that unfold within the various personalities. The book builds towards a dramatic ending that will leave you breathless once you've finished the book. This is a great sequel to Len's first novel, and a book I highly recommend to any zombie or horror fan. The book runs for 270 pages and is only available in a paperback edition to date. Like the first novel it was published through iUniverse Star publications.
