    Good Points: Lovely clean holiday destination. Most people speak english.


    Bad Points: None that i can see.


    General comments: Well did a week in Singapore a few years ago and loved it I was on my own so I tend to judge a place by how safe i feel.

    The hotel I stayed in was the Peninsula lovely hotel huge room and very resonable rates booked it on Expedia.

    I was working unfortunately at the Sun City convention center so did not get to appreciate Singapore by day as much as by night.
    But it made up for it the atmosphere was amazing.

    Went to the famous Raffles hotel and that itself is worth doing just remeber to make sure you have plenty of dosh with you drink is very expensive there also cigarettes.

    Went to a club called the Velvet underground and it was fun the local clubbers were interesting where we dance with each other they like to dance to their own reflection in the mirror.

    Takes a bit to get used to the heat but if you watch the people in Singapore they stay inside where the air conditioning keeps them cool.

    Also if you are a smoker beware i would not advise smoking outside anywhere as they do not seem to like it at all.
    At the convention center the had a yellow square marked out in the loading bay next to the big smelly dust bins and if you wanted to smoke you smoked in the yellow square only.

    Great food and soo cheap. Shopping is just amazing take an extra suitcase and lots of cash.

    Additions:

    Singapore airport is one of the cleanest airports I have ever been to the people are very helpfull and will help you thoughout the process of checking in to where to go for a taxi or bus.
    I got a taxi to my hotel remember to put your seat belt on as they won't move the car till you do.

    Have added some pictures of the hotel I stayed in the Peninsula it has amazing views over Singapore and the service there was great not expensive either. Just below the hotel is a shopping arcade so you don't even need to leave the hotel to shop.

    Also added picture of the Raffles hotel where you can get your Singapore sling.

    Want to go back and experience it on holiday. Would recommend it to anyone young and old.
