The only way to know how much money you have left in the bank is to go to the cash machine. The internet statements are -always- wrong. I have had things take a week to show up online

New to this account but I have found it incredibly frustrating I have had a couple of debits returned due to their processing systems being totally out of date, the advisor on the phone even said their Internet banking can be 3-4 days out of date! What is the point in this I thought Internet banking was supposed to give you more control over your money....just daft really. I am seriously thinking of changing my account if it wasnt for the hassle this would be. The only plus is the British call centre staff who are easy to understand.

I have found the bank unreliable as they refused to honour a purchase of £29.55 for petrol at my local supermarket.
The balance of my account was £751.00.
Their explanation was "there was something wrong with the debit card system, it should be working in a couple of hours"

The Co-operative Bank Current Account Debit Card is simple and straightforward. The account is accessible at the branch, via phone, internet, post office and post, so it suits everyone.
