Good Points: Comfort, smooth, reliable, and price
General comments: My Honda Sabre 1100 is the first bike in 20 years, and I'm really pleased with all areas of this bike. I live in Austin, and am always on the road.

This is my first bike, but even I could figure out where the oil drain plug and oil filter was. How? I read the owner's manual. Anyway, I took the MSF class a while back and purchased my Sabre shortly after. Added to mine are chrome engine guard, highway bars, floorboards, saddlebag, passenger backrest, handlebar risers, and Vance & Hines 2 into 1 pipes. Sounds and runs great!

This is my fourth Honda, two were inline four cylinder engines (550 Four and a Nighthawk 750) , two V twins (Shado Aero, and the Sabre) so I'm not inexperienced with Honda's. The people who put this bike together stopped way short of making it a GREAT bike. Putting a VTX1300 tank at 4.8 gals (is that a REAL number?) and a couple of bucks in gauges would have made me REAL happy. Hell, if I had Honda custom accessories that fixed my problems but they ripped me off on them I'd be happy.I have 3300 ...

Overall this a bike that out powers many bikes in its class (and even some bigger displacement ones), has enough after market chrome covers and add ons available to make it really shine, and with after market pipes, air filter, and carb re-jetting, it makes more than enough power for an 1100 cc. bike. Many riders say because of its shorter wheelbase, and lighter weight, it will out handle the VTX's. But, if power is all you care about, buy a bigger bike. If you want a bike that does everything w ...

The Honda Sabre has great styling, easy to service. Handles well and easy to manuver in traffic. Only had bike 13 months as a deer decided to take it away. Cruised well on highways even in windy conditions. Carried 2 up decently though could have used a 6th gear. Mileage is fairly good at average 38-40 mpg. Loved it once we changed out the handlebars for Valkryie bars and added the Corbin seat. Very comfortable for a 5'-10 1/2 person.
