    Purchased from Tesco Direct. The Motor burnt out after 7 weeks. Tesco customer services were not interested & referred us to Electrolux. We were told by Electrolux customer services to take it to a local repair shop, where we left it for repair (no charge), then had to make second round trip to pick it up. Now the on/off switch is temperamental - we have asked for a refund but no joy. I also made the mistake of buying one for my elderly Mum, and her motor has just burnt out this week after a few months. We will be binning this one,as it's too much trouble to bother having it repaired.
    Had I known this product was so unreliable, I would have bought another brand. I also believe that we would have had more luck had we bought from a retail shop, so I won't be buying electrical goods from the internet again.

    Absolutely the biggest load of rubbish I've ever bought! DO NOT BUY ONE!There is nothing good about it at all!

    Biggest load of rubbish money can buy! Overheats after 10 minutes and you have to wait half an hour to use again. Suction is rubbish. There is only me and a cat in the house so not heavy duty cleaning either. Do not buy one!

    Yes I was stupid enough to buy one of these, luckily I kept my old hoover for backup, the PetLover junk has sat in the cupboard.

    One day I had a few minutes and took it apart out of curiosity and the problem is immediately obvious, the filter compartment does not mate properly with the chassis. There is plenty of suction at the motor side (run it with the filter compartment off and put your hand over the intake), but this is almost all lost around the rubber seals to the filter which are eithe ...

    I hate the Electrolux Vitesse "Pet Lover" vacuum cleaner. its the worst thing ive ever bought. only bought it because i have a dog and needed a cleaner after my trusty dyson broke after 5 years.
    its incredibly noisy so much so my neighbour knocked on because he thought i was drilling every day when i clean the dog hair up. it doesnt pick up, it shoots it out of the back so whats the point in buying it.

    Absolute rubbish, agree with all the other reviewers. Useless on pet hair, always end up using my dustpan and brush. The motor cutting out drives me absolutely mad, you have never finished when this happens, then have to wait half an hour to start again. This is going to the skip, wouldn't even give it away!Take this off the market Electrolux - useless electrical object.

    I can't really give this machine any stars at all. It's the worst vacuum cleaner I have ever owned. Electrolux told me I need to wash the filter once a week, twice if I use the cleaner every day. If not cleaned, the whole machine blocks up. When emptying, the dust falls on the floor. After two months the motor burnt out. When I took it to the shop for repair, the assistant said "Oh.     PET LOVER??? Electrolux Vitesse (it isn't).

    I have just spent 2 hours trying to vacuum one bedroom & it's still not finished. The thermal cut-out stops the motor every minute or so & you then wait 30 mins to start again. Even if I stop it after 30 seconds, unclog the filter & start it again - it stops the moment I switch it on.

    Electrolux Vitesse "Pet Lover" is absolute rubbish, snapped so many belts I have lost count a truly appaling cleaner.

    This Electrolux Vitesse "Pet Lover" vacuum is useless - the suction on the product is pitiful and i would reccommend you avoid this product by all mean - "a pet cleaner ??" - poor very poor. Waste of money

    What a total waste of time. I have used two filters in one session of cleaning on the Electrolux Vitesse "Pet Lover" and still had to go around and sweep up the mess it has chucked out the back. it omits a burning smell after it's been on a while. it's higher maintainance than me. The stair tool does not work. I've called the helpline on several occasions and been generally spoken to like an idiot.     Total waste of cupboard space. Electrolux Vitesse "Pet Lover" smelt of burning when in use, had to change filter twice during one cleaning session then had to sweep up all the bits it had chucked out the back. Stair tool doesn't work. Higher maintainance that me. Rang Helpline several times and was generally spoken to like a pleb and told it was my carpets!?!. I wish I had read the reviews before investing my hard earned cash on this pile of overworked, plastic rubbish.

    I was so glad to read other peoples reviews about the electrolux vitesse pet lover because i have been just as disappointed with mine , i have to go round with the dustpan and brush after each use trying to brush up the mess the cleaner has spit back out , and the thermal cut out happens after just a few minetes most times , if i had known that the hoover was like this i would not have purchased one.

    This vacuum cleaner was the worse I have ever had. Electrolux Vitesse "Pet Lover" blows dust out of the back, the hose was not long enough to do the stairs even though the box advertised that it could. It over heated constantly and emitted smoke out of the engine. A disturbing buy, tried to return it, but Electrolux are insisting on fixing it. Think I may just ditch it and buy another hoover.

    Electrolux Vitesse "Pet Lover" is easy to use, fairly good suction and mobility. Dust cylinder easy to empty and made well.

    However, appalling smell for a few minutes everytime you start it up.
    Even after cleaning the filter and dust cylinder the stench is ghastly.

    The hose nozzle keeps coming out of it's bottom fitment.

    There is nothing to like about the Electrolux Vitesse "Pet Lover". The most useless electrical item I have ever purchased! Cuts out after 3 or 4 mins and then won't restart for at least 20 mins.

    The design of the Electrolux Vitesse "Pet Lover" is appalling and started throwing out sparks within 28 days despite no apparent blockage -don't touch with a barge pole!

    I've had the Electrolux Vitesse "Pet Lover" for 3 months, it has already packed up. I agree with the other reviews, it blows dust and fur everywhere rather than pick it up, it fills up very quickly, and the stair tool is rubbish, I have to use the little brush on every stair instead! All I can say is I'm taking it back tomorrow and I'm not having it repaired or having a replacement.

    well what can i say, i've never owned such a heap of rubbish in my life.I haven't even used the Electrolux Vitesse "Pet Lover" properly yet.The first time i tried the belt snapped so i replaced the belt,swiched it on and guess what? the belt snapped again.I called the help line and they are about as much use as the machine, they are sending me two new belts.It will be interesting to see how long they last.
