Good Points: It's really powerfull, long hose, cheep. It is good for pet hair
Bad Points: It's really loud, no good for hard floors. no hepa filter.
General comments: I have had no issues with this Electrolux Vitesse "Pet Lover", though i have used it properly. Hovers constantly for hours, does not get blocked. I have 23 pets! 11 ferrets, 4 cats, 2 dogs, a love bird, 5 snakes, Thats not encluding the non messy fish and frog. i have to hoover every day. I have never had to change the belt yet, because i dont put the hoover two low and a make sure the brushes can move freely.

The Electrolux Vitesse "Pet Lover" is retarded on anything that doesn't have a pile, the vacuum blows air out the sides of the main head blowing the dust around rather than picking it up - would probably work well if it was possible to retract the brushes on the rotating piece inside the head.also i has a habit of only letting you vacuum for about 5 minutes before it gets too hot and cuts itself out!! better plan the whole afternoon free!

I bought the Electrolux Pet Lover in December 2007 and it was a huge improvement on the old hoover we had. We had a terrible old hoover that was given to us and the only way you could hoover was with the thin nozzle. So it took a lot of back pain and hard work to actually clean the pet hairs off the carpet! This picks up pet hairs fantastically. We have a Black labrador and you can really tell the difference between hoovered and unhoovered carpet with this. Suction is good too, fairly powerful. It ...

I think that this is a good vacuum cleaner when it works. LIttle help from Electrolux to resolve issues. I have the choice to pay for a repair, I have no idea of what, or take it to the tip. At the moment the latter looks most likely. This model has never ever worked for me for more than 10 mins!

I bought this Electrolux Vitesse "Pet Lover" from Tesco 18 months ago- I don't even have a pet but the filter is constantly blocked and not easy to clean. I am unable to hoover all of the downstairs or upstairs of my house in one go as it is always overheating and switching itself off.

The pipe on my Electrolux Vitesse "Pet Lover" blocks too easily and difficult to unblock.
Filter clogs easily. Cheap build quality.
Fuse blew, replaced and it just screams now and no suction- suspect the motor has gone so it didn't last very long.

When you have pets, you need something reliable, and my "Pet Lover" machine is unreliable and a complete waste of money! We have had it for 2 weeks, and already it has had 3 new belts (which snapped when we used it on short pile stairs carpet), and a new set of filters. It's now stuck in the garage, awaiting recycle because it won't stay on at all now! Electrolux recommended this for pet owners?

My friend recently called round to my house asking if I could have a look at her nonworking vacuum cleaner. Knowing that I know a lot about vacuum cleaners. At first glance I thought it was clogged so we emptiend the dirt bin and cleaned the filter but as I put my hand on the motor housing I instantly jumped back in pain as the motor housing was red hot. A few minutes later after checking fuse, switch, hoseand everything else we tried turning it on a second time. A horrible sreaming sound nearly ...

Very powerful, much better suction than my previous (Dyson) machine. Turbo attachment brilliant for stairs. Very long reach.
Used this yesterday and it made carpets look like new. Cost was same as a service call for Dyson, hence change. Very pleased.

After reading many scathing reviews on this Electrolux Vitesse Pet Lover I just had to find out if Electrolux could really make such a piece of junk. Well they didn't I don't think.
I have been in the cleaning industry and have used many vacuums so I have a good knowledge on them and also know that many problems faced are because the operators do not read the instructions
I have now used my one for many hours to check some of the claims other reviewers have made and it actually has worked perfe ...

Just our personal experience, others may be more fortunate;
I will never ever buy an electrolux item again. This is my first & last. Performance out of box is terrible, particularly disappointing for a hoover to have virtually no suction when hose is used or with stair tool. Stair tool fresh out of box itself was missing an axle clip preventing its free rotation. Numerous calls to Cust service resulted in a final choice of EITHER an uncoordinated accessory OR an unlimited wait for the correct p ...

Used my Electrolux Vitesse "Pet Lover" only 3 times, then out of work, changed the fuse, then the smell of burning, changed the belt 3 time , smell of burning , noisy and obvious fire from cylinder. I called Electrolux they recommended to change the belt.

Total waste of money and time. I phone Electrolux and was told over and over again "You need to buy a new filter". It's nothing to do with the filter in my case, I suspect the design is just poor.

I'm sorry I every clapped eyes on this piece of junk! It is impossible to get the top off the Electrolux Vitesse to empty it, which you have to do every 3 minutes or halfway through doing one carpet, that's if the brushroll belt hasn't snapped already or its thermostat hasn't auto switched it off! I've used it 4 times and replaced the belt 3 times.

Disappointed with my Electrolux Vitesse Pet Lover, because after I've cleaned hard floors ..well they're not clean. I think the bits just blow up in the air and land again.

Looking around for a new cleaner for my newly carpeted flat I noticed the Electrolux Vitesse Pet Lover on special offer in my local BHS. I have not got a pet however so decided to keep looking. My last two cleaners were of the cylinder style and had not lasted long so I wanted to be careful this time. Looking around however confirmed that the Pet Lover at only £65 was excellent value and so worth buying even if I did not have a pet.
On taking it home and unpacking the cleaner it look ...
