Good Points: Very Funny, a good use of the audience.
Bad Points: Tailed off in places.
General comments: Al Murray, The Pub Landlord - Live - My Gaff My Rules DVD is incredibility funny. The basic premise of his stand up show is that he takes on the persona on a pub landlord, a man who loves Britain, loves traditional British culture, pastimes, names and jobs and hates anything remotely foreign, because foreign things aren't so good (That's why Britain is the middle of the map right up the top).
If you're not familiar with Al Murray you may now him as Harry Hill's 'Big Brother Alan' or that bloke doing the extra strong mint adverts (they make your dongue tizzy).
Murray spends the opening 30mins or so talking to the audience, asking them what line of work they are in and so on, with out saying a lot Murray is very funny and has a natural talent for facial expressions. He then goes on during his show to cover everything from Irish theme pubs to disproving the genius of Mozart.
My one criticism of this fine piece of comedy was that a few bits went on too long in particular Murray's reciting of nursery rhymes in a German accent. We got the joke the first time no need to do another 2 lasting 5 minutes. But other than that, pure quality.
