Good Points: It look very stunning from the outside from a big distance. The guy was very friendly when we cancelled the rest of our reservation after stepping through the door only 18 hours before!
Bad Points: Everything we could imagine.
General comments: It looked to me like the Riviera Hotel in Pula hasn't had a shred of work done to it since the 1940s and maybe earlier, I think the newest thing in the rooms must be the TVs which are circa late '80s. The beds collapsed when we were exhausted enough to lie on them, to me the bathrooms are no less than horrific and indescribable. At breakfast they had dirty plates so went elsewhere but other people described the coffee as a run off of the previous days washing up.
Large hand sized cracks in the walls, massive chunks of masonry hanging off. Ominous dents in the breakfast terrace. Not good in my opinion since it's not too far from one of the world's major fault lines. Our bathroom door didn't close properly because the floor had apparently moved.
