This book got Benjamin Netanyahu elected as Prime Minister the second time. In August 2005 he was floundering, stepped back from his political ambitions to write this book, then came back to win leadership in Likud a few days before the official publication date.

This is not an easy read you will need to concentrate a bit. The rationale is very valid and seem like the only way out until the Utopian messianic era will come around. (read more)

Samson Blinded: A Machiavellian Perspective on the Middle East Conflict
Veteran Israeli politician renounces ideological hubris, and contends that only rational means can win the war on terror. Shoher laughs at Jewish and Muslim myths and preconceptions, such as historical right to the land. The author attacks everyone left and right on the political spectrum, and blames Israeli vacillation for the prolonged suffering of Palestinians.
