“Not receiving the service I am paying for ”

Called customer service to request how much it would be to cancel contract due to connection issues (dropped 5 times in the last hour and no wifi connection now for over an hour) this is a continual current issues. 30 minutes into conversation still had not provided me with a cancellation cost, instead tried to sell me an upgrade that was not required!!! and transferred me to customer service who told me it would take 10 days to fix line to optimal performance. Talk Talk customer service is not good. I upgraded to Superfast Fibre broadband with them a few months ago. It started out well and I was getting much faster speeds then before I upgraded. Then the issues began and now I currently only get speeds of around 3 mbs download. When you phone the tech team you do speak to some lovely people at a foreign call centre but they take you through the same checks again and again leading to frustration. I stupidly signed up with TalkTalk earlier in the year after moving and Virgin (who were fine) didn't cover my area. How I wished I'd seen the reviews first. The broadband never got started. I had problem after problem - too many issues to detail here - but the worst was having to deal with the appalling customer service. Never had so much stress in my life. This company is absolutely awful, sent me a router in the post and it didn't work, spent 4 hours on the phone and was told an engineer would come to my house. I took the afternoon off work and they never showed up. I called them and they told me an engineer would be in touch within 72 hours. No one ever came to fix the problems so I cant comment on the connection speed because I never got round to using it. I cancelled the contract and I would never even think about using them again. Our experience has been absolutely awful. We had someone turn up to our property to install broadband to find out that the fibre cables are not installed in the building (surely they should check this before committing to a go live date?) we then got told that this would be sorted by the following day.. 2 weeks have nearly passed and we still have no internet and have just been told they cannot install until 23/08. I totally agree with you, this morning I called them to complain, AGAIN, and she tried to offer me a better deal if I committed to another contract!!!
NO DAMN WAY!!
Same thing happens with me, watching something and it cuts off,

Talktalk is the absolute worst company for customer service. I signed up to Talktalk broadband because they were cheaper than others. Now I know why. Absolutely useless if you ever need to contact them. You have to speak to a foreign call centre to people who can’t understand what you’re saying and you can’t understand them. Basic services I was paying for TV, Phone, Broadband were all fine. Trouble comes when you want to do something - like change address. Only try to go on to the customer services line if you have all the patience ever given to a person and a whole day to devote to repeating your name, details and request. Never had so much stress and hassle over broadband. Used to be with Virgin Media, who were great; we then moved to an area with no Virgin Media, so went with TalkTalk. Big mistake. Masssive. HUGE. We have been with Talktalk for a number of years and generally any problems have been resolved, even after our personal details were hacked and used by ne-er-do-wells. However,now, Contract renewal resulted in an increased monthly charge for less services - which was accepted on the basis of not wanting the hassle of change. Do not sign up to this company. They are alright taking your direct debit out each month and increasing prices but as soon as there is a fault they do not want to know. I have had a problem with my line since August 2016. This is still ongoing!!! Been with them for a few months now and have found it a big mistake.The download speed dropped by 30% as soon as I connected there modem which was replaced and it dropped from 7.8mb to 6,5mb. After that they blamed the wiring and all the other things that we all know can cause problems. Then I decided to put the Talktalk settings in a Sky modem and low and behold up to 11.6mb.
