“Worst customer service”

Talktalk is the absolute worst company for customer service. I signed up to Talktalk broadband because they were cheaper than others. Now I know why. Absolutely useless if you ever need to contact them. You have to speak to a foreign call centre to people who can’t understand what you’re saying and you can’t understand them. Basic services I was paying for TV, Phone, Broadband were all fine. Trouble comes when you want to do something - like change address. Only try to go on to the customer services line if you have all the patience ever given to a person and a whole day to devote to repeating your name, details and request. Never had so much stress and hassle over broadband. Used to be with Virgin Media, who were great; we then moved to an area with no Virgin Media, so went with TalkTalk. Big mistake. Masssive. HUGE. In a nutshell, we ended up with a crossed line and no broadband. So we ring customer service. We have been with Talktalk for a number of years and generally any problems have been resolved, even after our personal details were hacked and used by ne-er-do-wells. However,now, Contract renewal resulted in an increased monthly charge for less services - which was accepted on the basis of not wanting the hassle of change. Do not sign up to this company. They are alright taking your direct debit out each month and increasing prices but as soon as there is a fault they do not want to know. I have had a problem with my line since August 2016. This is still ongoing!!! I have had numerous phone calls from Talk Talk to get me to do tests, take socket off wall disconnect line etc. After nine months I have just been told that the network team closed my case due to a system qliche. had talktalk on a 2 year contract in jan 2014 had to move house after 6 months so I rang them to cancel in jan 2015 oh what a surprise thay wanted more to cancel then letting the contract run so moved out paid £45 a month till the end of the contract what a joke giving away money for nothing till jan 2016 oh then today get a dept collection letter they were sending letters to my old address dooo don't live there and had left the contract running £225 pound in charges after having £540… Read Full Review

Been with them for a few months now and have found it a big mistake.The download speed dropped by 30% as soon as I connected there modem which was replaced and it dropped from 7.8mb to 6,5mb. After that they blamed the wiring and all the other things that we all know can cause problems. Then I decided to put the Talktalk settings in a Sky modem and low and behold up to 11.6mb. I rang up the technical department and spent about 45 minutes going through repetitive questions about the set up then I tried rebooting the box and various other things which they suggested. Shocking results after 1st.month of connection. Now even I sit net to router I keep losing signal on my smartphone. Now even starting lose signal on whole house from 22nd of December. Very very bad signal. They should'nt be on market at all. None of bad signal companies. I have been waiting 3 weeks to be connected to my phone and broadband was left with no phone for 2 weeks after numerous phone calls and emails keep being told there's a Fault and they are trying their best to connect. After many promises from Talktalk they managed to get my phone to ring out but no incoming calls. I paid for fibre optic but ended getting dial up broadband utterly awful, I may have been paying a lot more for virgin media fibre broadband but at least I was getting what I was paying for, don't know how this company is still trading as the service is terrible I can't imagine how slow standard broadband is I probably could walk to Tibet and back by the time it finished loading up Google.
