The Echolife HG520s wireless router provided by Talk Talk simply does'nt work; the second line support have'nt a clue;you end up be transferred to their 'geek squad' which is a fee paying service with a 3 day warranty which after the three days expire the router stops working therefore you end back on the technical support again again ......

after reading the reviews for talk talk i decided to cancel my order they were not happy they asked me why i was cancelling and i told them bad reviews bit shirty after that but who cares saved myself 24 months of hassle by the sound of it

No, no, a hundred times no: don't do it! Yes, Talk Talk is cheap. But: took over 6 weeks to get started after continuous delays; email servers regularly going down; broadband connection disappearing for days; slow connection; 40 minute telephone queuing to speak to 'customer service' who just give you another telephone number to ring with another 30 minute wait Truly awful service which I've been locked into for a year-and-a half. I switched over from BT Yahoo! broadband to TalkTalk as I believed I would receive the same service but at a cheaper price. Oh what a surprise! My connection speed dropped from 8mbs to 2mbs and I was not able to run bittorrent or p2p programs. This is the worst ISP I have even been with and I fixed the problem by opting out using their 10 day trial policy.

Talk Talk is honestly THE worst broadband connection I have ever experienced. Period.

I thought Orange and Bulldog were bad but this one is really in its own league! When the other two disconnected, they would usually reconnect again within the next 10 minutes. This one will STAY disconnected for as long as it likes!

DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF BUYING INTO THEIR RIP-OFF DEALS AND WHATNOT. NOT worth a penny!

Talk Talk internet connection is THE worst in the world, no jokes here people. Now, i am a heavy internet user and also a very heavy (and may i say skilled) online gamer. For the first 9 months the connection was fine, disconected a few times a month but that wasnt a big problem. But come 2009 and it has gone to the dogs. Talk Talk is ok when its working, But for some reason once a week at around 9ish I need the restart the connection and the speed will be downrated or uprated. Much better value than Bt or AOL and Works 100x better than ANY connection AOL can provide

I changed over from BT (TOO EXPENSIVE) and I was aprehensive because of all the BAD reviews TalkTalk had received. My phone went live on the day it was supposed to, no problem, and to date (6 months) Ive not encountered any problems!

excellent, been with talktalk about 2 years, broadband line rental and all calls for abut £20 a month. Bargian.
They took over from onetel after buying them out, changeover was smooth on time and service has even speeded up upload now 1m and download now 7m.

We researched several companies for broadband connection before selecting TalkTalk as we feel that we have been strung along for far too long. We were told that we would have service on 7th May after waiting for a month initially. The customer service is the worst I have ever seen. Nobody seems to know what they are doing or how the company works. We were told we would receive a call from an engineer on several accounts and never received a call. I moved to talk talk last April from BT because they were so much cheaper. I wish I hadn't, BT may be expensive but they are reliable and much, much faster, I only live about a mile from the exchange and for the first few months the speed was fine, not great but ok, but the last couple of months the service has deteriorated rapidly. Talk Talk is cheap but no good as its pain when u doing something and it disconnects.

I resorted to TalkTalk due to the low price, though I have now learned that they are unreliable. The connection is not stable, the bandwidth is very limiting for regular or heavy internet users, and their customer service is useless. I'm leaving TalkTalk as soon as I can find the dreadfully overpriced £70 disconnection fee for early termination of their contract.

I've just received a phone call from Talk Talk who I use for my phone calls only. I'm with BT for my landline provider and Zen as my ISP. Of couse Talk Talk can talk and are offering me a whole package for very little, but looking at this forum, they can walk walk. I'm staying where I am.

We chose TalkTalk mostly because of the free broadband offer, along with the promise of free/cheap overseas phone calls as we have many relatives who live in the states and Australia.

As far as I remember it started out okay when we had no wireless router etc, but now the connection is as unreliable as Artur Boruc.

The connection drops literally every 30 seconds and I have had to write this review twice as, ironically, it just dropped just now.

Also, sometimes our router forgets our TT passwo ...

v is not recommended for anyone looking to change internet providers. An unreliable service and to top it off technicians that talk talk sent round were shoddy.

Have found the complaints departments at talktalk difficult establish contact with ,when there you are given list of what to do parrot fashion this is then passed down the line to your next contact who then repeats the same instructions , and so it goes on, you are regarded as being an idiot despite fact you still have no line from outside of the house to inside that is live and three internal phone each reading "get telephone line checked".
