Customer service is absolutley appalling. Since renewing contract I have contacted TalkTalk on numerous occasions, been assured that problems with billing have been rectified ...... only to find they re-appear! Streaming speeds no longer stream but drizzle! I would not recommend them to anyone.

What really lets talktalk down is the customer service. As a new customer I was attracted to talktalk because of the price. Well once it was installed it's proven a reasonably efficient and cost effective solution, but boy was the process painful.

I need broadband at home for work and the installation was massively delayed. This would have been bad enough but waiting 30 minutes to be connected (one call took me four hours) and then relayed to a constant stream of jobsworths each time you cal ...

Biggest mistake I made was signing up to another 18 month contract it has been sheer hell second time around with constant dropping connections and horror of horrors even worse phone line going dead for hours. Technical team suggest I am imagining it and then they even change my phone number and lose my broadband. Oh and no compensation for months of problems as its free. Still no solutin with 3 months to end of 2nd contract. Unreliable and no interest in resolving issues just in closing down ti ...

Painful. Utterly painful. Streaming video is no longer streaming, I may as well go out and buy a VHS player. Playing MMORPG games is impossible. I have been applying to jobs which require online psychometric testing, when after 5 minutes of slow connection it cuts out and leaves you unable to complete your test.

DO NOT BUY TALK-TALK, you will only regret it. Worse than Dial-up speed.

from the reviews i have read here i know that i am not the only person who have problems with talktalk... i was with Sky which little bit more cost but at same time more reliable and helpfull...

the line keep cutting off every 15 minutes or less... had headache from their service for the first 2 months, but now I've got used to this horrible braodband.

i wish i read more reviews about them before get the contract.

my advice .. don't go to them .. they are useless

Terrible service. iplayer should be able to run hd with the 8mb I have. However, I struggle to run the normal. I seem to have loads of connection drops as well. There is not much positives I can write at the moment. The service level is pretty poor. It is a pitty because I am now looking to change my broadband, I will not be staying with talktalk.

I have found T alk Talk to give a consistently good experience, having been with AOL beforehand which was costing me £20 quid a month for much slower speeds. Easy changeover, customer services were very informative during this and gave me all the facts i needed. The equipment came within a couple of days and i was given the date of switchover which was accurate. I'm paying less for broadband and calls than i was with AOL and BT put together. I pay around £33 per month for Internet, c ...

Appaling customer service! Been with them for about a year and a half. Can't understand many of the asian accents (not being racist). They get frustrated at you before you get frustrated at them too.

Eveytime a phone cals comes through too we get cut off our broadband. Have tried to get it sorted out but you get fobbed off. Terribly slow broadband too.

APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE. I offered to pay closing balance in 2 installments and had a letter 1 week later threatening with BAILIFFS! I gave them 2 weeks notice as requested when closing the account and was disconnected 3 days later..This is by far the worst telecom/broadband provider going. Internet speed was painfully slow. When phoning customer services your faced with several automated choices and go around in circles before speaking to a non english human that doesnt even understand what ...

I have been with TalkTalk for over a year and broadband is fine if you don't need to rely on it. I now started working from home and am in process of getting broadband from someone else as it's so unreliable and sometimes so slow that it's frustrating. Customer service seem nice but not very knowledgeable from my experience and it's also not very easy understand what they are saying. Overall, it's cheap but you really get what you are paying for...

The broadband deal isn't that bad but the connection you get is terrible. The router you get isn't much better either I am sat less than 5 meters away and lose connection. If you do decide to get broadband from talktalk get your own router because the cheap one they give is utter rubbish and is only good if your sat in the same room.

Had been with TalkTalk for over a year now, and the service has been fairly unreliable, it seems they change it with seasons. Some times the consistency of the broadband is good, and it will be fine for weeks, though when you start to get problems, they will stay with you no matter what. Recently been having drops every 10 minutes, and last few weeks have been horrible - takes around 20-30 minutes to get the first signal then you get disconnected very often. Customer service is also useless - th ...

I am moving house and the quality of my contact with Talktalk has been bad. At times it is diificult to understand what staff are saying beacause of heavy accents and poor English and information given to me has varied from person to person. What is really totally unacceptable is the time to transfer the existing service to a new home...7 to 14 days to get the phone operating and 2 to 4 weeks to get broadband operational. In addition it takes them around 7 days to shut down the existing service ...

Speed is really bad. Dont be fooled by the cheap prices l was and the service is really poor. Customer service is the worst part of the service, unfortunatly they lie and confuse to get you to back off when the service is poor and you complain. My exprience of the customer service is so poor that when l was given positive advise l was later told this was due to there off shore service which is "rubbish and the foriegners don,t know what they are talking about" i was appaled. I have tried to get ...

We have had the broad band phone package for nearly 3 years now. Worked ok to start with. Then we lost the phone line. It took ages for them to arrange repairs. Four months ago we lost broadband almost entirely. Their helpline was not very helpful asking us to so speed tests, blaming our router etc. Eventually got to speak to a technician who in 3 minutes adjusted the line to work perfextly. Why couldn't they do this to start with rather than giving us the runaround?

Very poor Internet, do not use at all for trading on line, likely to lose connection when you most need it.
