An amaizing offer, a dam site cheaper than my present supplier, half price broadband and calls for 12 months, unlimited download at weekends and evenings, £30 discount as a welcome to talktalk and £50 love to shop vouchers once connected, and free connection too!! I had a major problem with my phone a year ago and Talk Talk dealt with it very badly -however I decided it may have been a one off so gave them the benefit of the doubt. Just had another major epic where they behaved even worse. Its the call centres and customer service, without going into detail - they send me calls to say and engineer is coming and they don't come then they do come and they haven't told me and when I try to speak to someone or email them I get poorly worded responses that... The sign up process with Talk Talk was very straight forward/ a couple of simple direct questions, easy to fill in. The process was completed in 2-3 minutes. Very happy with the simplicity. I was very happy with the price and options available, but when joining Essentials i had an issue in creating an account, as my e-mail is a talktalk one and i could not enter this. I used the live chat and at first it was implied i could make up an e-mail but after further questions, was told it had to be an old e-mail address, as a confirmation e-mail would be sent and of course i do not have one. Found a great deal online for braodband and calls, however wanted confirmation that the deal included "caller ID". The website did not make this clear so l called the sales team to ask this question. In late August 2012 I decided to upgrade my broadband speed which was slow I contacted my supplier Talk Talk who confirmed I could get 38 Mbps there was no mention of a minimum speed I went ahead on that basis the Open Reach Engineer carried out the upgrade he then tested the line and told me that I was receiving 38 Mbps The whole process went well.
