    I did read the requirements- but i was unable to recieve anything from them. No web access and i wasnt going to go buy a cable and software for my phone when i was supposed to be able to get tones/wallpaper by text message. If i buy a cable and software, what do i need FUNTONIA for? i can make my own ringtones. THEY asked ME if i wanted a refund. I said yes. Well, four months later NOTHING. No responses to several emails about the refund."Would you like a refund? Yes? ok. Nice to know, but you arent getting one." The advertisement said ONE month unlimited downloads for $5.99. I got charged for THREE months for ZIP ZILCH NADA.

    i wasnt able to recieve or download anything because my carrier blocks receiving them. What i understood from the Funtonia site advertisent was unlimited downloads for ONE month for $5.99, next thing i know, i got charged for 3 months. They actually asked if i wanted a refund, i said yes. Four months later, NOTHING. They wont answer emails. I paid 18 bucks for NOTHING.

    i too have had nothing but trouble with Funtonia. I find it strange that nowhere in their website do they lost an address or telephone number and when I asked them for this so that I could file a complaint with the BBB they told me there was no law requiring them to give me that info!!!!

    seems to me that most people that are giving bad reviews of Funtonia their main problem is they didnt read the terms of agreement and the availability as far as downloading. its all right there if you take the time to read first. songs download quickly, great selection and great price especially considering you can download to three phones and keep file on your pc.

    Unfortunately, I tried Funtonia without doing adequate research. After signing up for the service, I discovered that I could not download tones to my phone. After 5 attempts to resolve the issue through their customer service (accessible only through email) I successfully contested the charge to my credit card provider on the grounds that I did not receive what I had paid for.

    I downloaded about 15 songs to my STORM Blackberry from Funtonia ...no problem. I also sent some of my selected downloads to me son and daughters phone...no problem. The cloice if I remember correctly was $5.99 for 3 months of service ( approx. 24.00 or 1.99 charge for 12 months. I chose the twelve months so that I hve the choise of downloads as I choose.     I ordered what I thought were simply a few ringtones ,from Funtonia, total around $6.00 and it turned out I had been charged 23.00 for an extended "membership". I told them I had not intended to spend that much on a few one-time-sale ringtones.

    I tried to use the few rigntones I had downloaded to my pc and my cell phone type, Samsung m510, would not accept a data transfer. I asked for my money back and they didn't seem interested.

    I am very unhappy with their service. I signed up thinking I could have access to lots of ringtones. Only after I paid was it made clear that Internet access is needed on your cell phone. Or you need a USB cable to transfer files from your PC. I did not have either of these options, so I requested immediate cancellation. The agreed to only refund 80% of my money even though I cannot utilize their service. So they have made money without even providing one single ringtone!

    The only place I could find the new Radiohead album squeezed into fine working ringtones. This is the best website for ringtones ever! This site has just the ringtones that I need.

    I wish I had read this before, I am slowly accepting my action of signing up with them, but if I can't get my bank to stop the payment (can I do that?) I'll make the best of it and download every tone I ever wanted.

    But I was wondering, if I only paid for a year do I Have to renew my account? Even if it doesn't allow me to cancel my account, I can simply chose not to renew a year from now and save myself $24, right?

    I really need an answer. I'm going back and forth between anger and giving up. ...

    The website is misleading for me personally, but overall I have had nothing but a positive experience from them. If you are only looking for one or two ringtones then it's not the place for you, but for multiple downloads that can be moved from one phone to another then try Funtonia, keep in mind; they advertise $1.99 per month, but DO NOT take monthly installments, you'll be charged the full year in advance of $23.88 as far as I am concerned, but I have had the renewal deal of 15 months for the ...

    I am completely blown away by the customer service funtonia have provided. Not only that funtonia guys respond to my original request within 24 hours, then followed up with a second email when the song I requested was available!

    I have been a subscriber to Funtonia for 2 years now, and have downloaded many ringtones. The best thing I have found is the ringtones have no activation codes, which means I have been able to transfer them to 3 of my phone handsets, a definite bonus. The price is $24 a year, approx £15 a year, another bonus as many phone providers can charge up to £5 per ringtone, and then if you change handsets you'll have to buy them again, not so with Funtonia.

    I do not recommend funtonia.com, As far as I was aware with this service I was going to receive unlimited ringtones, wallpapers etc. for a year for one low price. However in my opinion I have not yet received anything, nothing as far as I am aware nothing works. Plus they charged me $23.88!

    I made the mistake of signing up with Funtonia about a month ago. After "verifying" that both my phone (Samsung SGH-a436) and service provider (Rogers Wireless) were supported (as listed on the Funtonia website), I thought I'd give it a go. Bad mistake given that neither the phone nor Rogers support non-DRM files. Oh sure, I can pay the exorbitant DL fees to get them on my phone, and the phone will play the files. BUT, I am prevented from setting them as ringtones.

    There is absolutely NOTHING on the website that states the cost of the membership that I personally can find so far? It does indicate in the terms something about "membership" but nothing else as far as I am aware? My CC was charged $23.88 and I have no recourse of getting it back in my opinion. Therefore I do not recommend Funtonia.

    Stay as far away as you can from this website. They are thieves. It says everywhere, "download for one cent". There is NOTHING that states your credit card will be charged $23.88. And it will never be refunded. And how stupid am I to put my credit card # in without checking out the site first?? I had to cancel my credit card because chances are good they have the number of file to charge again, and again and again.

    Like another reviewer, I wanted one ringtone, and only one. I agreed to pay the $1.99 charge and I gave my credit card information because the site seemed to be secure. Immediately my Visa card contacted me (my first clue) and said this was an "out of the country" charge. I asked if I could deny the charge, since I was having second thoughts. They said no, because I had originally authorized the charge. (They were just making sure my credit card had not been stolen.)

    I have been a customer of Jamster for about 2 months... THEY are great! I recommend funtonia.com for anyone looking for a good deal. Try them.. they have a 24/7 customer service number and guess what. THEY ANSWER.. I have had problems with downloads, i have called them and fixed right away! I LOVE THEM. Anyone looking for a 3 party download USE Jamster.com.
