this company took almost $18.00 out of my account for the 6 month plan, but I signed for just 3 months, when I tried to log in they said it was an invalid account. I tried over and over again and I still got the message so I tried to look for a phone number there wasn't any. so they got my money and I got nothing. If youre curious why you cant find anyway to correspond with the operators of this website its because they are thieves!!! They stole money for me over a year ago and I have filed complaints with every site I can find. Other than hiring a lawyer I dont think there is a way to get my money back. I was also ripped off by funtonia. I had them before when I had a different carrier and when I switched to Boost mobile my membership had already expired. I looked at their website and saw that it was "Supposed" to be compatible with Boost Mobile and so then renewed my membership for 29 bucks. I just registered with Funtonia and it is way kewl. They had all the metal ringtones I wanted to add that other ringtone providers I checked didn't have. I use an HTC Desire and an iPhone and Funtonia works well with both phones. I wish their jazz selection could have been better however. Uploading the ringtones to my phone was very easy and customer service took my entire request for new ringtones. Good stuff in my opinion. (read more)

I really found this service useful. There was a great selection of ringtones to choose from and I was able to upload the ringtones with my USB Cable. I didn't have internet on my phone, so it was important for me to find a service that allowed the customer to manually download and upload content. I found most of my favorite songs here. Try Funtonia if you want to add some cool ringtones. (read more)

I generally like Funtonia. A good variety of ringtones to choose from and the option of downloading with my USB Cable instead of my web browser were all things that I liked. It doesn't work with all phones, but most of the smartphones are supported. I am not that keen on their wallpaper selection, but as far as ringtones go, Funtonia is pretty damn good. (read more)

I just signed up for the $5.99 plan. I was clear that it was three months, but apparently I mis-entered my phone number. I discovered this, and tried to email them (no phone number) but their website either freezes or doesn't accept my email as it says that my registered email address is invalid (no!!!!). They charged me right away, and now I virtually have no means of contacting them. Lousy business practice. Not cool at all. (read more)

The cloice if I remember correctly was $5.99 for 3 months of service ( approx. 24.00 or 1.99 charge for 12 months. I chose the twelve months so that I hve the choise of downloads as I choose. I am very unhappy with their service. I signed up thinking I could have access to lots of ringtones. Only after I paid was it made clear that Internet access is needed on your cell phone. Or you need a USB cable to transfer files from your PC. I did not have either of these options, so I requested immediate cancellation. The agreed to only refund 80% of my money even though I cannot utilize their service. So they have made money without even providing one single ringtone! (read more)

I have been a subscriber to Funtonia for 2 years now, and have downloaded many ringtones. The best thing I have found is the ringtones have no activation codes, which means I have been able to transfer them to 3 of my phone handsets, a definite bonus. The price is $24 a year, approx £15 a year, another bonus as many phone providers can charge up to £5 per ringtone, and then if you change handsets you'll have to buy them again, not so with Funtonia.

After "verifying" that both my phone (Samsung SGH-a436) and service provider (Rogers Wireless) were supported (as listed on the Funtonia website), I thought I'd give it a go. Bad mistake given that neither the phone nor Rogers support non-DRM files. Oh sure, I can pay the exorbitant DL fees to get them on my phone, and the phone will play the files. BUT, I am prevented from setting them as ringtones.

Like another reviewer, I wanted one ringtone, and only one. I agreed to pay the $1.99 charge and I gave my credit card information because the site seemed to be secure. Immediately my Visa card contacted me (my first clue) and said this was an "out of the country" charge. I asked if I could deny the charge, since I was having second thoughts. They said no, because I had originally authorized the charge. (They were just making sure my credit card had not been stolen.)

Download the link and select to send the link to your registered phone (it doesn't matter if the link works or not). Go to the My Downloads in funtonia and right click the save target as..save to the desktop...and if your phone has a sync cable and storage card. This is our second year with www.funtonia.com, I am pretty shocked to see all of the bad reviews of Funtonia also. At first it wouldn't work with any of our phones, then we upgraded. It will not work with Virgin Mobile because they do not want to lose their own ringtone sales I think.
We haven't been able to get it to work with the blackberry Pearl, but it doesn't list blackberry phones, and they have a website for free ringtones anyway. My Motorola Q isn't listed, but they work...
